New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

I did a factory reset on mince and still would periodaclly have the same issue w/ the IR filter. I reverted back one software version and haven't had any issues.

Would you happen to have a link to the firmware handy? I did open a support ticket, as i saw somewhere that people are provided unpublished firmware files to try.
Reolink's stupid website only lists the LATEST firmware, so you have to have a link or know what version you're looking for and google around.

And yeah my issue came back shortly after, I have not found others with the same problem, but tons of people complaining about day/night switchover. Seems like a half-baked release.

Edit: found an up-to-date Reolink FW archive here:

What are you using to get the doorbell alerts? Is that the Reolink app or something else?
Blue Iris Integration in Home Assistant. I am using Blue Iris to detect motion and Home Assistant to send phone alerts. Also, ReoLink Integration in Home Assistant to get Doorbell Button alerts...
I have not used the ReoLink App. Using the Home Assistant phone App connecting to my local network's VPN Server allows me into all my Home Automation Devices...

Are you also integrating the ONVIF camera triggers into Home Assistant too? If it works well I might have to try that instead of just using the BI phone app for push notifications. Do you use HA just for the alert then switch over to the BI app to review the clips? Curious how you're doing it.

So the Doorbell Press trigger is captured through the HA ReoLink Integration which is connecting to the ReoLink DB so ONVIF events there. You could do motion too. I just personally like BI motion.

So, if I want to view live camera feed I can use the HA App where I have our cameras in a dashboard. But I am using the webserver in BI UI3 to view recorded footage, timelines, etc. I connect to the local VPN server and hit the BI Web Server's IP so it is also encrypted.

I have a small write up in this Thread that I did following a HA guy that has real good instructional videos. When I get back from dinner I will share the links...

Has anyone managed to get their Doorbell connected to a hikvision NVR and get basic motion detection working? I have had mine connected to my NVR since it first came out but never managed to get it to capture even basic non smart events.

I can view the camera through hiK-connect which works fine but when i try and setup motion section through the NVR's web interface i always get invalid operation when i trying save anything.

Anyone got theirs recording basic events on a hikvisIon NVR? I have other camera connected with through ONVIF and can get them to record to the NVR just not the doorbell.

Dumb question; do you have ONVIF turned On in the ReoLink DB settings? It defaults to Off...

Yeah ONVIF is switched on and i can view the doorbell through the NVR just can't seem to capture basic motion events through the NVR.

after 16 inches of rain in 2 days, the seal in the button gave up and it was short-circuited. However, the electronics in the bell were not affected by this and she kept on ringing, thats what you need at 3am :p

After 2 days in silica gel, it worked perfectly again.

Someone in the article was saying since there is different levels of ONVIF that ReoLink only uses the basic version so no events? This does not seem right since I get ONVIF events in HA through the ReoLink (Device Doorbell) in Automations (or at least I think they are ONVIF events, maybe they are built in the Integration???):

As you can see I use Blue Iris Motion Entity for the ReoLink DB and not ONVIF events:

Has anyone used the iPhone IOS app to check the "About" / "System Status" page before? It's showing a list of twelve external IP addresses (I can only presume they are Reolink addresses, still getting ready to check each of them).

So far, the first five have all come back as Oracle Corporation or Oracle Public Cloud addresses. Doesn't make me feel any better. This is why we block cameras from the public internet, to keep them from reaching out everywhere they want. Had to switch to another IP lookup service after the first five. These are the results:

152.67.124.211 Sydney, Australia Oracle Public Cloud
129.152.22.102 Milan, Italy Oracle Corporation
129.213.189.52 Ashburn, Virginia Oracle Public Cloud
144.24.42.1 Phoenix, Arizona Oracle Public Cloud
129.159.88.169 Ashburn, Virginia Oracle Corporation
16.163.195.33 Hong Kong, China Amazon Web Services
192.123.95.178
47.107.38.205 Shenzhen, China Hangzhou Alibaba Advertising
129.158.224.26 Ashburn, Virginia Oracle Corporation

I don't use their App/Cloud but the DB still phones home unless you block these addresses...

I have mine set to a 4:3 aspect ratio (camera resolution 2560 x 1920) and don't get nearly that much fish eye. Yours look like 16:9 and it will miss the area below the camera at the foot of the door.

Log into the cam's webGUI to configure.
