Specs still state 2560×1920 which is 4:3 (2560/1920 = 1.333333 and 4/3 = 1.333333) so unless the "new and latest" actually has a different resolution and subsequent aspect ratio then you can still color me puzzled as to why @Sonnie 's appears to be 16:9 and his 2560 x 1920 stretched. Is it the White or the Black DB? The white is the newer wider Lens, to my understanding...
Yep, pretty close to 4:3 @ 1.34.Our morning doorbell feed from VLC::

Sorry I had it backwards, the white version has the different lens...the black has the wider lens...Specs still state 2560×1920 which is 4:3 (2560/1920 = 1.333333 and 4/3 = 1.333333) so unless the "new and latest" actually has a different resolution and subsequent aspect ratio then you can still color me puzzled as to why @Sonnie 's appears to be 16:9 and his 2560 x 1920 stretched.
That led me to ask him in post #1482 "What does BI's "Video" tab look like for that camera?", thinking maybe BI is forcing a frame size here that is 16:9.
EDIT @ 10/19 0614 CDT: Hey @Sonnie , is your "fisheye" image a screenshot from the Reolink webGUI or Blue Iris? I ask because I checked mine with the Reolink webGUI and it's 16:9 like yours; and 4:3 when viewed in Blue Iris.
Yes, the black is wider view and white is taller view. (4:3 vs 3:4 ratio)Is it the White or the Black DB? The white is the newer wider Lens, to my understanding...
The white version would of been a good replacement for my Hik Doorbell at our old house with our narrower porch. I liked the 180 degree vertical view of the Hik, I could see packages better.Yes, the black is wider view and white is taller view. (4:3 vs 3:4 ratio)
The Black version works good for our porch view at our new home. We don't get many deliveries anyway, our Post Office is just down the street where we pick up our USPS parcels, only UPS and Fed-Ex delivers to our door, which are not many these days...Amazon uses USPS out here...can't say I have seen an Amazon Delivery person here...Yep, pretty close to 4:3 @ 1.34.
New firrmware release today 10/23. Nothing about fix from night to daylight mode which my camera also suffers from. I'm going to try it. Worse case I'll go back 3 firmwaare revisions, again, that worked and is what I'm currently on.Just FYI... as you may know, this camera will display a black and white image when/if the available light source is insufficient and Nighttime vision IR mode is activated. Anyway, ever since upgrading my DB firmware to v3.0.0.3308_2407315183
(released 2024‑08‑19)... every morning, even after its no longer dark outside, the live video feed from the DB is a Black & White image. If I reset the camera it immediately displays a correct color image. In reviewing the Reolink firmware updates, I see their latest version v3.0.0.4110_2410111120 (rel 2024-10-18)... in addition to the "Halloween festival reply audio" it states: Solve the issue of difficult switching from black-and-white mode to color mode. Cool... just updated the firmware... will know tomorrow morning if it worked.
UPDATE - 10/22... No joy camera still failing to switch from black and white to color. Had no problem updating the firmware yesterday. Every thing appeared normal, had a great color image until evening at sunset when it switched to the black and white IR image. This morning nice sunny day but the camera was still displaying a black and white image. Waited until 10AM hoping for it to switch with no change. Unplugged and reconnected the POE cable at the router... bingo... color image is back.
NET: Ever since v3.0.0.3308_2407315183... camera still having difficulty switching back to color mode.
You mention two models, POE and WiFi, do you have two doorbells?I have the POE/WiFi model...

It shows I am on the latest firmware when I try to update. No issues here.
Looks like they released 4110New firrmware release today 10/23. Nothing about fix from night to daylight mode which my camera also suffers from. I'm going to try it. Worse case I'll go back 3 firmwaare revisions, again, that worked and is what I'm currently on.
EDIT: It shows same Firmware version # and date as August firmware which broke some peoples, including mine, switch from night to day. Not downloading.
