Updated photos from my last post, both are Lorex (Dahua OEM)

8MP LNB9272 1/1.8 Sensor
8MP LNB8005BW 1/2.5 Sensor

Keep in mind I have no street lights, it was not a full moon and it was pitch dark outside. All settings are default set to auto for testing purposes.

If possible post a video with a person doing a door check. Need motion in the video to really compare.

But that is a major difference in pictures. Excellent example of sensor size different.

..
Thanks jd415

FYI - There's a series of Lorex cameras which have a newer 1/2.5" sensor compared to the LNB8005BW ( I'm pointing this out mostly for anyone who is looking for a comparison of those newer 8MP 1/2.5" models and wanting a comparison with the 1/1.8" sensor equipt models. )

Interesting video, thanks for posting it.

I would be tempted to run a conduit along the fence and mount a couple of cameras on your fence.

You may want suggest to the lady to have her keys ready before getting out of the car. Thieves love to catch you off guard while entering home or car, because your looking for keys. But good video quality.

That is better video than I expected to see with an 8MP camera.

BTW, your video is also a good demonstration of the audio distortion that happens with a Dahua if "noise reduction" filter is left on.
Turn your audio noise filter option off to get a marked audio improvement.
