Likely yes but I’m not enough of a network pro to tell you how to change it
I’m guessing either you don’t have P2P enabled on the NVR or Dahua’s P2P server is offline. You may also get that if you’re connected to your home LAN/wifi when trying to reach the NVR remotely via P2P
I have separate profiles for inside/outside my network (local wifi vs P2P)
So, i deleted the device from my phone and tried to re add it via P2P mode and it keeps saying 'failed to bind' i then tried ip/domain and it connected and playback was working again. I then checked P2P was enabled on the NVR which it is. But don't understand why it won't connect on the app for P2P?
As for me, I coudn't set up MD recording on my XVR. Case scenario: analog cameras are connected to the 1st XVR, there is working MD, no problem. Then I add this XVR to the 2nd XVR via Ethernet. And on that 2nd XVR only Genreal recording (24/7) is working. As I see it: MD (or SMD, or IVS) is highly connected to the cameras' ability to do MD or to AI functions of a X/NVR. E. g. on of my models can do IVS on itself, others can't - there's simply no such dropdown.
