We pulled all our 401k out of the market a while go; we'll probably be going back in pretty soon. we're also closing on a new house in 3 to 5 weeks. Mortgage rates are falling...haven't locked in a rate yet. Provided Mrs. Q and I survive The ConJoboVirus this may shake out rather well.

I’ll be buying a case of water tomorrow; will have to wear mask as well; I wonder how the folks at Lowes will react. People need to start looking after themselves and take this issue seriously. There is no time for BS

Thanks, tbh I think I got too overly concerned because of what happened to me two weeks ago. Also coming across different people throughout the week both at work and the classroom raises my awareness to a whole other level, lol. However as advised, I should just take a deep breath and carry on with the routine but stay vigilant at all times. :)

Get a grip Arjun. Everything is going to work out ok.
I agree, this too will pass, Im more than careful about my routine now, perhaps a little paranoid, A few weeks ago my family took a trip to the pokonos to take my daughter to a fairly new large Indoor water park and we stayed at "resorts casino". Lots of tour buses from NYC and tons of Asian people. I was sitting at the bar having a beer when a Chinese lady cam up to me almost yelling in chinese, I could not understand her, she came back again and was talking to me again but NO Chino Mandarin. The bartender looked baffeled but told me strange things happen here, as she was walking away she sneezed twice and never covered. Perhaps she wanted me to buy her a beer, I will never know but I was a little paranoid after that. I played some cards and one arm bandits but was VERY careful about washing hands. We all seem fine and show no symptoms, it has been 2 weeks tomorrow, time will tell. Now the story about NYC...Grrr

Just saw the news about Florida. Declared state health emergency. Not sure what that means exactly. Two patients are up in Manatee County and Hillsborough County. One reported recently traveling to Italy but the other person has not traveled anywhere to restricted area which is a little alarming for those of us in Florida :)

Guessing the Mouse House will see an attendance drop this week..... and Spring Break will be interesting...

Personally, I'll be going to the range a lot this week. We're well stocked for the virus apocolypse and I have the week off and havent been shooting much the past 3-4 months due to an illness.

I fear the mouse house, Universal and all the attractions that bring in tourists from all over the world will become nothing more than a giant incubation chamber for Corona. Spring break in FL ain't gonna help matters.

I live in San Antonio, TX and I will say, I'm thinking it is a REALLY BAD IDEA that they're releasing those Diamond Princess cruise ship passengers today after only 14 days in quarantine here. It is proven the incubation can be much longer so why not keep them longer?? I'm sure many of them don't live in San Antonio so they're going to fly out back to where ever they are from and possibly be spreading it everywhere else while they do, pretty bad situation for the whole country honestly.

Then, Austin goes on to say they're still going to hold the SXSW Festival despite this whole virus situation. It's normally crowded as hell, but given all of the unknowns and the obviously stealthy spread of this virus, only fools will be attending that this year!

I've thought about the various festivals / conferences - my guess is that they are stuck in contracts with various venues and are concerned with financial commitments - which they perhaps may have insurance on, but often insurance requires some state official to declare a state of emergency for the insurance to kick in.
( recall the world trade center and fight - " was it one incident or 2 " legal mess.. )

So probably waiting for a confirmation for someone official to declare "can't have your event"

Two dead here and usual smoothing over with the victims having other disease conditions in the media. Many people have some preexisting diagnosis. Those two poor souls probably would not otherwise be dead now without Covid Panda stomping on them. Also, comparing to flu ignores that the Covid risk is in addition to the flu risk. Getting one does not exempt you from the other.
