My dad served in the Navy for 15 years active from '39 to '54 and then 30 years active reserves until '84, a total of 45 years. He was an E-9 Chief Master Petty Office (AEMC).
He served in the South Pacific in WWII, the Berlin Airlift and Vietnam transports.
He swore me in in 1968 at NAS Atlanta. He would turn over in his grave if he knew this as it would sadden him deeply. It just plain pisses me off.
