I've been following the auto tracking thread (Dahua poor auto tracking - What am I doing wrong?) and have noted that one of the other PTZ cameras has the ability to trigger a preset when a tripwire or intrusion box is activated. I know my current firmware, which is not the latest, does not offer that option. Does anyone know if the latest firmware provides for this functionality?
Are you looking at where a fixed camera can trigger a ptz to move to a preset? If so I think you need an nvr52xx to do that.

You can leverage triggers from cameras (built in or BI trigger)and have Blue Iris send a PTZ to a fixed position.

Yes but I don't think you can do it natively with standalone cameras can you? I believe you need an nvr or BI to communicate between cameras.

Makes sense to me, something has to coordinate.

Ya, in the example they were talking about I believe the person had done it on an nvr5208, whose interface would look very similar to their camera, that's why they would be confused why they can't see the same options on their camera. They probably didn't realize they were looking at an nvr interface.

After this upgrade does this camera support both facial and vehicle detection?

Is there a way to tell what your focal length is at a particular time on this camera? Trying to figure out what I need for a particular scene to spec out a 2nd camera.
