i have news for Mac osx Catalina's users. I send email to Dahua support and they replyed. they told me that it was the first time they receive negative feedback for smart pss on osx Catalina. they asked me a screen recording of app crashes. I send the video and they replyed that the R&D section will analyze video.

Well, if you own a Lorex box, Dahua wants nothing more to do with you, even though Lorex has been recommending Dahua's SmartPSS software. In fact, Lorex is apparently trying to build their own app off of Dahua's software. This is the reply I received from Dahua:

So, just for curiosity, I checked to see if Lorex had any new software posted. They do, but it's basically a stripped down version of SmartPSS that, quite honestly, doesn't work any better than Dahua's version. In fact, you might say that it's actually worse. Since Dahua want's nothing more to do with us poor Lorex customers, I guess it's time to contact their customer support to see what's going on. To be honest, I doubt I'll ever purchase another Lorex or Dahua product again. It was no secret that Apple was planning a switch to 64-bit-only applications so they have no excuse for waiting as long as they have to update their software. That's just terrible. And they continue to sell products that rely on this software to work.
