Sweet! LTS is releasing an ONVIF compatible doorbell with SD card slot and 940nm IR

is it possible to run "ezviz" or "rca security" ios apps for uniden doorbell? I try but cannot successfully find the device. I could not see searching device via wireless option for those apps. anybody help?

I've been trying to find a way to integrate this with Home Assistant so that I can have it detect doorbell rings. I came across the Zwave Nexia Doorbell Sensor. I did end up having to upgrade my transformer as the camera started rebooting (even after removing the sensor). I used the Hampton Bay tri-voltage one from Home Depot. It seems that the camera is actually running a little better and I possibly might not need a wifi repeater.

Now if I could just figure out two-way audio with Synology's Surveillance Station.

I have a MimoLite wired to my chime. It stays unpowered except when chime rings. Z-wave signal to Smart things on ring for automations. Never fails, going on 5 years now.

I couldn't pass up on the DB1 for $50. So glad it works well thanks to all the tips in this thread. My Ubiquiti AP reports the wifi signal from the Uniden "99% (-45 dBm)" compared to generally -75 to -80db for the awful August Doorbell gen 1 it replaced. The firmware bugs are a shame but it does just do everything I really need.

I 3D printed an angled mount since my doorbell wire location is very low and pointed in the same direction as the door. This mount angles 12 degrees up and 22 degrees inward towards the door. Here's a link to the .STL file in case it helps anyone with a similar scenario.

Maybe this isn't news to anybody else but I was surprised to learn that all of the apps for these connect to the same back-end system. Hik-Connect, LTS Connect and ClareVision Plus are just EZVIZ clients. You can use any of the different apps with the same credentials.

I discovered this because I installed the ClareVision Plus app thinking that maybe I could use that to configure my LTS doorbell and trick it into updating the firmware to enable the browser interface but when I went to register an account, it said I already had one so I entered the credentials from my LTS Connect account and was a bit surprised to see that it was pre-populated with my LTS doorbell. Same with Hik-Connect.

In fact, you can actually view your doorbell from the EZVIZ website but only with Internet Explorer since it requires a plugin:

https://ius.ezvizlife.com/

Unfortunately, it doesn't matter what app I use, it always says that my current firmware (V1.4.61 build 170731) is the latest version.

Can you tell me how to pair this doorbell with "ezviz" on iOS?
I have uniden doorbell, pair with "uniden one" and can see in"guarding vision" app
but cannot see in "ezviz". Also pairing with "ezviz" also unsuccesfull

@dony71 First you need to add the doorbell using the app that it came with. Next, simply log into EZviz using your Guarding Vision or Uniden account credentials you created during the initial setup.

Still having trouble with my Laview unit and looking for any suggestions. I've tried LaView Connect, Hik-Connect, Guarding vision, RCA Security. I can live view on the local network fine. However, I can not play back any video (event or just playback) either locally or remotely. I just get a playback error 260015. When trying to get live view remotely, I just get the first frame and it just freezes there. I've tried latest firmware from Nelly, Hikvision Europe as well as 171218. LaView support is useless. Please help!

What firmware are you currently at? Did you factory default it after each firmware upgrade/downgrade?

Check the speed of the doorbell's WiFI connection. Sounds to me like it has negotiated a 1 or 7 MBS connection with your router which will work for login credentials, but nothing more. After expensive testing with various enterprise grade access points at distances as close as 15', I came to the conclusion that the wifi hardware is faulty and not fixable.

This and the incredibly poor night-time image makes this thing not even worthy of being a paperweight.

Have you tried a complete factory reset?

Right now on 171218, but I've tried several including the latest from Nelly. Yes, I did a factory reset each time. Thanks for your help.

I have been using the 2 DB1 for more than a year. i had similar symptoms in November even though I replaced with a 16V 30VA transformer. but the 16V 30VA transformer was powering 2 doorbells at the same time. What the problem, as i investigated was the wifi signal degraded as weather changes and and temperature dropped. i am in the north east and November 2018 had a lot of rains. I saw the signal quality of the two doorbells on my wifi router fluctuated in a big range so the signal sometimes dropped to a very low level.

So after i replaced with a new ac1900 router with 4 antenna with 1 of the 4 antenna laying perpendicular to other 3 antenna to create a better wifi signal coverage to my doorbell and with dual band, i shifted all computer or phone related heavy traffic suckers to 5 GHz and left only smart, low bandwidth consumption devices on 2.4 GHz. it was great after the switch. Everything worked flawlessly.

I would recommend you do the following:
1. upgrade firmware to 180726. so far this is the best and the most stable one i had tested.
2. get a 16V 30VA or 24V 30VA transformer. higher power output transformer greatly boost the doorbell wifi reception. i couldn't do any initial setup at all with a 16V 10VA transformer.
2. get a repeater next to the doorbell if you wifi signal to doorbell is too weak or fluctuates in big range.

This morning my doorbell went off-line from Hik-Connect. I can see it just fine on the webui and through my off-site nvr... My first attempt to get it back was to delete it from my Hik-Connect app and reconnect it... Every time I scan the QR Code, it reports device off-line. I suspect issues with connections to the server since I have access through my NVR...
Anyone having this problem ??

Yes it will do that every few days, try rebooting it in the web ui a few times

like Bitslizer suggested, reboot it either thru webui or iVMS4200. i am lazy so i don't unscrew the cover screw to take off the cover to scan the QR code. after rebooting, and removing it from the phone app, i do manual add. refresh it several times or sometimes even closing the app multiple times to wait for the doorbell to boot up. then manually add it by serial number and verification code. done!

but since as i mentioned in some previous thread that i replaced with a brand new 4 antenna ac1900 router two months ago, i haven't had any offline problem for two months. i really suspect the offline on the phone app is caused by weak wifi signal reception.

@alienatsf

Have you tried 180809 RyanODan posted on Jan 3, pg 80 ??

I've had my LTS running since Sept and this was the first time it went off-line, this may support your cold weather theory...

Ah didn't even realize there was a slightly newer version than 180726, thanks!

I did not try 180809. i am not sure if it is identical to 180726. in the past year i've seen a lot of versions of firmware from different brand names varied by just a few days. I think they are identical. 180809 means 2018 Aug 9, so i believe it may be very much identical to 180726 meaning 2018 July 26.

the weather indeed has scientific evidence to prove it. google around and you will see how the air and rain and snow and humidity affect wifi signal strength. but usually the effect is very minimum. but since the doorbell is placed outside of the house so i don't know how the design of the wifi router is affected by weather in regards to reception. and the design of the doorbell wifi antenna is affected by weather. but that's what i saw the reception signal strength varying in big range in rainy day.

For reference:
Ubiquiti AP AC LR (located ~20ft indoors from doorbell wall)
16v 30A Doorbell transformer
RCA branded doorbell with IR leds unplugged

I initially had no issues after installing. Then it would randomly drop out. Looking in Unifi the connection was sporadic even though it showed good signal. I replaced the 16V 10A transformer and this fixed my wifi connection issues. I've never been able to get the Hikvision cloud software to work consistently.

180809 makes my doorbell "ding dong" until I answer or it times out... I don't recall 180726 doing this...
