The Typical picture of a Perp on Nextdoor-type Apps with Consumer Grade Cameras like Ring, Nest, Arlo, Canary, Wyze, etc.

There is still an unclaimed lawn job from the 70's in a park under a water tower somewhere off of I-294.
Did you know a 74 Catalina can store a yard of Sod under it's rear bumper?

Ring video shows woman shot, killed in cold blood confronting auto burglars
The headline is from an East Texas newspaper where the camera captured the shooting of a lady of 39 years by a 21 year old male. Other sources provided fairly decent photos of the guy captured on the Ring camera. He was arrested after being turned in to the police by his mother.

That image looks like an oil painting.

Is it a cost issue or a size issue that keeps them from putting a little bit of onboard storage in the cameras? You can still stream live. The storage can act as a buffer to help with bad or slow connections.

Both cost and size issue .. and less quality competition and uneducated or uncaring customers

Can anyone ID this guy that came up and stole from the "shed".

Too bad the motion activated camera didn't activate while the car was in motion. But even then I doubt the plate could be read.

Wyze to the rescue capturing these perps that stole the black car in the driveway. Can you recognize them? And what we talk about - notice the sky at 2am in looks like it is light out - the camera is coded to give a nice bright image (shower shutter and higher gain) that comes at the expense of getting blur motion.

He stands perfectly still for the camera here:

even a good camera can look like crap in certain settings. This color4k t 180 needs more adjustments. the street light blasts light behind me and darkens the front view so i turned the LED's up more last night.
It's great during the day...

How about the glitch in the matrix:

People mentioned that is a great image of the get-away car and the police should be able to pull a plate from it LOL:

Thanks to the power of Ring and the motion activated recording, the camera did not start recording until the car thief started the car and started pulling away. But given the wide angle, even if the camera did pick the person up coming to the car, it still wouldn't be IDENTIFY quality.
