Upgrade few on swann NVR

Hi all,

I'm curious if you had the Line Crossing option available on the NVR after the update? I upgraded from Swann 3.0.8 to Hik 3.1.0 150511 without issue, avoiding 3.3.4 as recommended. The cams, SWNHD-825CAM, are still running factory V5.2.0 150428. I see the Line Cross option on the camera web GUI as a stand alone, but not on the NVR. Only video loss and tampering are available. Should it be an option on the NVR8-7090 running DS-76xxNI-E1 firmware?

Thanks!

I asked Swann back on May 19th about upgrades through them:
I have the B83MP, which appears to have the NVR7090. Is there a firmware release for that NVR? Is it the same as the 7085?

On May 30th, they said:
We apologized for the late response. No available firmware update for the camera NHD 835. Also, for the NVR7090.

They have updates for their non-Costco units. :(
Is there anything inside that indicates what I might be dealing with? If so, I'll take it down from it's secure mounting and open it up, but if that's futile...

Hi All,
I have the same "Costco Swann 16 channel/8 POE 3MP NVR" that Sauropod has. Looking for the 7816N-E2_308_ML firmware you referenced on the HikVision site. I went there and couldn't find older that version anymore. The ones that were there always error out saying language miss match. Thought I would see if one of you still have access to that file. Thanks!

Hello everyone - been following this post and really appreciate all the great info on how to flash Swann NVR to HikVision. Before I do this, I want to get a backup of my current Swann NVR firmware. Could someone help me how to do this? I get how to upload new firmware to the NVR - but how do I download the Swann firmware as a backup? THanks!

Thanks alastair for your reply. Unfortunately my Swann NVR is running newer firmware V.3.4.80 Build 170808 than even Swann has posted on their website which is V3.4.80_170802 (6 days older). Their support confirmed it is newer than what they have on their website which is why I am concerned with reflashing it with HikVision firmware without a backup. In this Swann firmware, I dont see any Telnet settings in the config and no answer when I telnet on port 23 to the NVR. So without telnet, am I unable to get a backup of this current firmware?

My goal is to get this Swann NVR16-8000 (which I believe is the same as the HikVision DS-7616NI-I2/16P) to HikVision firmware v4.x which has the new UI - or if that isnt possible, then at least to latest 3.x firmware. I like the HikVision apps better than Swann.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions or tips. Much appreciated!

Hello,
I successfully flashed to v3.4.92_170518. It took a couple of attempts, but it eventually worked.

Our issue:
The unit has 8 POE ports and 8 non-POE ports. Before the flash the POE ports worked fine, after flash they are in-op. Has anyone experienced this?

Thanks

Were you successful in flashing to Hikvision DS-7616NI-I2/16P firmware?
