So it tripped the IVS on this camera?
I think you could set the PTZ to go to a preset based on this cameras IVS event. Not sure exactly how to do that, but i feel like its probably possible. Just a thought.
It was my fault. It was set for my day profile but not my night. Made the change this morning.

Upgraded all 4 of these cams this morning to the latest firmware without any issues. Noticed it goes from 264 to 264h under the video settings. Not sure what that changes but all seems good.

Don't mix and match Hikvision or Hikvision OEM with any other brand.

Dahua's ONVIF implementation is miles better than Hikvision in my experience. So the issue is the NVR. I have initial issues connected Dahua to my Hik NVR and I'm not a newb.

If you buy this camera and want it to work as simply as possible? Go buy a Dahua PoE NVR e.g. NVR-1104-4P, NVR4104-4P, NVR4208-8P - the beauty of this camera being 2MP is you can do a real budget setup with the NVR1104-4P and get a super setup.
Thank you so much as that was my fear.
Any tips on best place for the NVR purchase?

Just got mine also, Order placed April 30th on AliExpress.
Interesting. I placed mine via email/paypal on April 24 and I'm still waiting. They haven't even shipped yet. I bet @EMPIRETECANDY filled the aliexpress ones first because they require the tracking numbers within so many days. I probably got shuffled to the back. Something to keep in mind when ordering guys...

Because I'm actually looking to get a few fixed length cameras to compliment my varifocals, I may just order those through B&H for now.

I don't know, but eariler today I ordered a pair of these to test out:

Amazon.com : Univivi IR Illuminator 850nm 90 Degree Wide Angle IR Lights, 18pcs IR Infrared Illuminator with DC12V 2A Power Adapter : Camera & Photo

These claim 120 feet, which would be more than enough for my use, I just want a good flood of IR. If these don't work I'm going to look for the adjustable "Cannon" types others here have used.
