Unfortunately no one provides Multilanguage for Hacked cameras.

It is a pitty with now chinese sellers can't sell anymore probably we will never receive patched firmware for those cameras. So don't reset or flash anything to this cameras.

Hi,
I've two DS-7104HGHI-F1 DVRs. They both are running latest firmware (DVR_K35_ML_STD_V3.4.80_Build161217.zip). I enabled motion detection on both DVRs but I'm able to receive alarms from one of the two DVRs only. Dvr 1 sends picture with alarm on EZVIZ. Dvr 2 doesn't send an alarm. What could be the issue? Please help...

I want to upgrade my NVR but I'm not sure which firmware to use. This is my NVR:

Model: DS-7604N-E1 / 4P
Serial: DS-7604N-E1 / 4P0420150603AARR52198713xxxxx
Firmware: V3.0.8 build 140825
Encoding: V5.0 build 140816

Telnet tells me language is 0x2 in the boot info and 1 in the gethardinfo so it seems like my NVR is hacked for english. What firmware do I use?

Hey guys,

I have been reading this forum for about 3 days and I'm a bit lost.
I have 4x DS-2CD2032-I cameras that I bought in aliexpress and so far they are working fine, all of the have old firmware V5.1.6 with multilanguage selection, i was planning to upgrade to have gmail working and maybe new features, does it worth upgrading?
Here are the information from one of them:

Serial No. DS-2CD2032-I20140703CCCH471467458
Firmware Version V5.1.6 build 140412

Do I use the hikvision european firmware or use chinese firmware and after hack to English? I'm a bit lost in which method described on this forum to use, because most of discussion are to upgrade versions above mine.

Does anyone know where to find firmware V5.3.0 build 150327, for camera DS-2CD2132F-IS (05/2015). Camera is chinees, was delivered with 5.2.5 multilanguage, but I have used it with a chineese interface since my firmware update. However, since I changed my modem and reorganised my ports, the camera keeps bricking after I changed the ports... :-(, I already reflashed it several times, but I do not kno with what software build.

Use the downgrader for 5.30. to 5.2.5
The camera should not care about Router or Ports. It simply can't brick because of ports.

I forget specifically which firmware versions, but yes, they can do if the port value is customised. Some bug or other.

A slightly later build CN version here, section #06

A couple of years ago I purchased 4 Hikvision DS-2CD2032-I cameras off a Newegg Flash sale. I did not know at the time and until recently about the Chinese vs. US version firmware on these cameras, so of course I've got myself in trouble by flashing one of the cameras and it is now displaying everything in Chinese. I've tried various 5.2.5 and 5.3.0 version without any success.

The camera label indicates date code of 11/2014 and list was shipped with v5.2.3_141024 firmware.

I would really appreciate any help/guidance on the best/latest firmware I should use and how to get the menus back in English.

Thanks in advance!

Your Chinese camera would have been running 'Hacked to English' firmware, installed by the seller.
It has now reverted to it's native form by the application of the stock firmware.
If all you need to do is configuration in English, then the 'Batch Configuration Tool' works well : Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology Co. Ltd.
If you want to change the cameras to English permanently, there are some risks involved with doing it - but the 'MTD hack' is a possible method : Hikvision 5.2.5 & 5.2.8 Full English (INC DAYS OF WEEK) mtd Hack

Alastair: Thanks much for the pointer... I used the MTD Hack you pointed me to and was able to get the camera to have English menus again!

One more question: Originally the camera was shipped with v5.2.3_141024 firmware as listed on its label. Now the camera is running FW V5.2.5 build 141201. Would it be possible to run a newer firmware on this camera and have English menus? If so, what would you recommend?

Thanks again!

Since you've performed the mtd hack and your original firmware (fw version on the camera's sticker) is 5.2.5 or less (5.2.3 in your case) you can use any English FW rev you want and your camera will remain English. I've had no issues using 5.4.0 on 2xx2 IPCs.
