Try this, this is from KlaverBoer who posted it earlier. My issue is when I add it this way I constantly get disconnects. See if you have better luck, I might have messed part of this up.

You cannot add the Ezviz DB1 camera to your Synology using the normal way. But you must connect to your Synology using SSH.

1) First open a SSH connection to your Synology.
2) Create a new file for example : Ezviz-DB1.conf It should be placed in /var/packages/SurveillanceStation/target/device_pack/camera_support
3) Change the ownership of the file to the same user and group of the other conf files in my case that is SurveillanceStation:SurveillanceStation
4) Edit the Ezviz-DB1.conf file with sudo vi
5) Paste the following lines into the conf file:

[Ezviz*DB1]
api = custom
resolution_h264 = 2048x1536
default_resolution_h264 = 2048x1536
fps_h264_2048x1536 = 5,10,15,20,25,30
fps_h264_1280x720 = 5,10,15,20,25,30
default_fps_h264_2048x1536 = 15
default_image-quality = 5

h264 = rtsp
mpeg4 = rtsp
mjpeg = rtsp
motion = h264,mpeg4,mjpeg

motion_param = sensitivity,threshold
rtsp_keepalive = none
rtsp_protocol = auto,udp,tcp

6) Save and close the file
I don't see the need to do this .conf creation when you can simply add it as a custom device, with the RTSP url. There's no advantage. I use Synology with my EZVIZ DB1 and ezviz fw without onvif, and it works fine without any custom .conf files.

The reason it was done this way was in hopes of using the motion alarm for recording. Otherwise you can only use it as continuous recording. Can you record by motion somehow? When its a RTSP stream no options are available.

I configured it manually and I can also set Motion Detection for recording only those events.

The url for the path is: <admin>:<pw>@<ipaddr>:554/Streaming/Channels/101

After the manual configuration, you edit camera settings and go to Event Detection settings (second screenshot), where you can fine-tune your detection area.

Its weird that you can edit the detection area. I can not do that. I re-added my camera as you have it and I can not edit detection area at all.

Strange. It always worked for me. What Synology model do you have? What synology OS version? Did you select "user define" as I showed in the screenshots?

Delete the cam. Make sure that synology is up to date, check if there's any update to installed packages, like Surveillance Station, and after you checked everything, restart the package, you can do it via ssh easily with the following command: synoservice --restart "pkgctl-SurveillanceStation".

Then try adding the camera again.

I did pick user defined as you did when installing the camera, i have deleted it a few times and reentered it.
I have the latest surveillance station 4/11/2020 8.2.7-6222 but my version of DSM is a little behind 6.2.1-23824 because I am running an xpenology faked DS918+. I have to be careful with updates or I lose restart and secondary lan. I may attempt an update though via new install and migrate if it goes alright with lan and restart working.

I don't believe I would have an issue since my surveillance station is up to date. So it is odd. I did a full restart of both DSM and surveillance station and nothing changed.

What camera do you have? EZVIZ DB1 or other vendor?

Did you install the Device Pack under surveillance station modules? This is what I have installed in the Surveillance Station environment:

Yes I have the DB1 and I just installed Edge recording and smart time lapse to match yours. I had the rest of them along with ip speaker.

Any difference after installing those? I read in a previous post you wrote that you configured it as ONVIF, but the EZVIZ fw does not provide ONVIF functionality.

I'm using latest EZVIZ DB1 firmware: v5.2.4 build 200220, what are you using?

If we align our configurations, I don't see how you shouldn't be able to activate the event detection functionality of Surveillance Station.

I noticed that your frame rate (stream 0) is 30 fps. Are those real frames or is this an ONVIF perk?
The full frame frame rate of my DB1 is 25 fps.

I use the same setting as David above. Still only testing the doorbell camera. Noticed lately that food deliveries, USPS, FedEx and UPS are the only ones ringing the doorbell. Amazon doesn't. Very close proximity settings on the PIR and only triggers motion sensor when you are right up to the DB. I like that. I have another PIR there and it is too sensitive.

Yes I went ahead and installed hikvision firmware after trying laview. I do want to use onvif with onvif2mqtt but so far I have gotten no where with that (pete C is helping me there). I guess I can try to flash Ezviz firmware back and see if it works as yours does but I dont see why the RTSP stream would be any different based on the firmware? I am on v5.2.4 build 200321

I have upgraded my RCA HSDB2 to the latest EZVIZ 200220 firmware to remove the loud outdoor chime whenever the doorbell button is pushed. The update went well using the batch tool with the flashing blue lights after a successful upgrade and reset. However, I am unable to add the doorbell to the EZVIZ app or RCA app. The app can not connect to the doorbell. I have attempted the manual addition of the doorbell with out success as well. My phone can see the WiFi SSID (EZVIZ_XXXXXXXX) of the doorbell, but it appears that the password that the app provides to connect to the doorbell WiFi SSID to configure the network is incorrect.

Am I missing something?

Hi guys,
I just got DS-HD1 that I want to connect to my Synology surveillance station and I spent at least an hour trying to read this post especially around page 101 but its really impossible to go over all these 178 pages without missing something

I'm still not sure about a few things so maybe some of you with "history" with this page can help me with these questions
1. Should I use hikvision latest firmware from page 101 or are there any issues with it ?
2. What app should I use on the phone ? I read that they are all more or less the same, but maybe I missed something ?
3. Any advices about connecting it to Synology ?
4. Considering that I'm going to use Synology should I use the internal memory card ?

Any other advice would be welcome

Thank you very much !

1. Your DS-HD1 has ONVIF support that you will use connecting to your Synology so I would stay with the latest firmware from Hik 200231 (Just use your App to update)
2. Which App is up to you, you can try them all, I assume you already have Hik-Connect, you may try Guarding Vision next but again it's preference.
3. Several here can help you with your Synology.
4. The SD-Card is really a backup for your DB since you will be recording on your Synology, so I would recommend installing a card.

Hope this helped some...

Ive had some issues with synology. I have mine currently installed with the RTSP stream but Ive also tried installing it as a onvif device. Id try both ways to see which works.

The onvif way has 2 options. 1. is you install as onvif device with full support and it works sorta, I can not edit the motion detection area. See if you can. THe other is this way creating a custom template.

Template approach:
Try this, this is from@ @KlaverBoer who posted it earlier.

[Ezviz*DB1]
api = custom
resolution_h264 = 2048x1536
default_resolution_h264 = 2048x1536
fps_h264_2048x1536 = 5,10,15,20,25,30
fps_h264_1280x720 = 5,10,15,20,25,30
default_fps_h264_2048x1536 = 15
default_image-quality = 5

h264 = rtsp
mpeg4 = rtsp
mjpeg = rtsp
motion = h264,mpeg4,mjpeg

motion_param = sensitivity,threshold
rtsp_keepalive = none
rtsp_protocol = auto,udp,tcp

6) Save and close the file

7) Now go to the Surveillance Station management page
8) Add a new camera. Complete Setup.
9)
Brand: Ezviz
Camera Model: DB1
Port: 554
Username: admin
Password: Activation code of your doorbell
10) Next
11) In the next screen (Video) i did not change anything
12) In the Recording settings. You can change what suits you
13) In the Schedule settings i only use Motion Detection. But Continuous also works fine.
14) Once the camera is added. Now you have to edit the camera
15) In Device Settings go to the Advanced tab
Transport protocol: udp
Streaming Information Source: Streaming
16) Every setting where you can choose the quality i have chosen High Quality.
17) It should work now

The RTSP way is below. It also wroks but again I have been unable to edit the motion area. Maybe it has something to do with firmware though.

<admin>:<pw>@<ipaddr>:554/Streaming/Channels/101

If you have no success with the motion area then it is a firmware issue with Hikvision 200321.
