I like that! But why is it sending it to the cloud?
To make the phone intercom thing work if you are not at home?

Wonder if you can hook up a normal doorbell to it as well, though.

I found out about Dahua DHI-VTO2111D-WP in this forum while searching internet for a POE/ONVIF supported doorbell IP camera that does not break the bank. I found a company called Ameta in Markham,ON that carry these and they referred me to a dealer so I bought one from the dealer and installed today.

My first impression is that the Video feature works great. However the 2 way Audio feature which is the point of having an IP doorbell cam is too bad and lags a lot and is choppy to the point it’s not usable.

The other issue is that when intercom button is pressed you are supposed to get alert on your phone but for some reason this does not happen most of the times.

I hope these are firmware issues and they fix it. Trying to find out how to get support and I can get updated firmware (mine is dated June 2016), anyone here has experience with Dahua support?

I know someone here is also receiving one so I would like to know if these issues happen.

Are you using it wifi?
You will not get dahua support unless you purchased from an authorized vendor..

No I'm using CAT6/POE, I know connection is not the issue because video is perfect. the distributor is an authorized dealer so I'll start from there.

I guess you purchased from
https://www.eyeonet.com/
and they also have office in New York.

How much have you paid?

Can you post some pictures of it? as online are only few and limited about it.

Have you connected to:
>cat6 cable directly?
>Have you connected in Blue irish?

Here are the specs:

Poe and Onvif it say.

Thanks,

Yes, that's the company (bought from their dealer), Paid $240CAD+tax, My NAS does not support it out of the box and ONVIF did not work, however tinycam detected this as AMCREST IPM-721S and was able to connect to it. tried the same config in NAS and it worked too.

I have connected this to a POE Switch with a CAT6 cable.

I hope they fix the voice issue, there is no setting for voice in the current firmware other than the volume.

Have you try in Blue iris software?
As some seller say that has onvif, but on the dahua site don't say nothing about it.

Here are the 2 sellers:

Seller 1:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/112080463344?euid=00fb48ee16ed44c0a3d294a38be63c91&bu=44119734353&cp=1&sojTags=bu=bu
He said for $125 will send with fedex and i should have it on sept 16-2016 (he will get shipment this week sometime)

Seller 2:
https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/smart-home-system-DAHUA-DH-VTO2111D_60513812149.html
Price is: $75 + $29 fedex =$105 (could be other paypal fee,and i should have it within 25 days)

But now that you saying that few things don't really work , and plus need to make sure that the poe and onvif is working.
And hopefully they will fix their firmware.

Other option is DoorBird
https://www.amazon.com/DoorBird-WiFi-Video-Doorbell-D101/dp/B012Z5X0FE
Witch has poe and ovif , but is $350 and not to many reviews on it...

Ok, got it to work with BlueIris, I seleted Amcrest brand under config and it worked.

Strange thing is that the issues I am experiencing with Audio and intercom on my mobile app do not happen on another phone I just tested so the issues might be isolated...

Thank you for confirming with BI, as this way we know that is working with onvif, So if you go in your phone and access the dahua door bell @ Blue iris app all good? video streaming, 2 way talk, screen shots, notification?

I am using Blue iris on my Pc and then on my ios iphone 6plus.

Thanks,

I only tested it with Bl for PC trial version, I don't have the BI for mobile and can't test as its a paid app. on PC video streaming works, I did not test the rest of the functions. I selected camera brand: Amcrest and Model: "IP2/3/4M Main Stream RTSP" to be able to get video. ONVIF did not work on my NAS though so I can't %100 confirm if this is fully ONVIF compatible or not.

Well from my understanding if it worked in Blue iris then means that it has Onvif.

Forgot to ask:
So in the package that you got from the company that you purchased, have you got only the main unit from the front door?
Or you got a cd with software and manual?
Also:
When someone presses the door bell outside, do you get some ringer inside or just on your phone? as i know that Ring it is connected to the original home bell or they have an option for wifi speaker to buy.
>Can you confirm that while someone comes to the door you get this:
1. Instant mess to your phone that someone is at the door , and you can press to talk to the outside person or just watch the video.
2. Will it do screenshots and saves them,so you can check later
3. Will it do a short video of the motion that was trigger at the front door

I am about to make my decision to buy some doorbell this week, so deciding between:
>Dahua door bell (poe/ and onvif maybe) $125
>Ring ($250)
>Doorbird (poe/onvif $350)
>HIKVISION DS-KV8102-IM (poe, but not sure about onvif, price don't know)

Hi Ari,

Does it supports SIP call? Meaning, can it call to my IP phone in the office?

Blue iris support does not indicate that its onvif compatible...blue iris will for example accept rtsp and other types of streams....in this case it looks like he is using the rtsp stream.
