I wouldn’t be concerned, check out the huge online following of this camera, plenty of guys in Arizona running these in a car windscreen continuously. Dashcamtalk forum had it as the most reliable cam to buy, not sure if it still does, don’t follow as much recently. USB fans are readily avalible...

This would be easy. Mobius dash cam with 26Ah Anker power pack and your golden. Mobius is tiny, low power consumption and very reliable. Biggest problem is storage space but low quality or time lapse if you can suffer it would be options.

Similar to my BI PC, no changes but seems to now be affected by the Intel driver issue. Go to drivers and see what version your on. Mine was fine for months, no update to the version but now affected :idk: Does the memory usage go up also?

Well as I think most of you know 4749 doesn’t work, or at least not in my case. It has however changed the problem. 4574 would max out RAM, 4749 takes RAM to around 80% but then causes CPU usage to max out afterwards. I need to get 4664 installed but that will have to wait for now.

Mine has just started crashing in a similar fashion every couple of days. I checked my driver when I saw this thread originally but all was fine on 21.20.16.4574 I have checked and this driver has not been updated but my PC is now affected. I cannot get 4664 linked to above to install but...

The hinge area has some movement. You have to kinda wiggle it back in before you close the cover, I had a couple of goes first time I opened mine. It needs no force as looney says.

Hmm, I did suspect that although I did find a guide how to do it on that router and he had different options. It was an old article and I’m on a fairly new firmware. Perhaps I need to do it on my BI PC, it’s only an i5 but it’s lightly loaded with only six cams so hopefully I have the headroom...

Imo forget the transit door, the overview covers all that. Zoom right in on the entrance, you want just the very edges of the wall to frame the shot. Get a third camera if you really want another area covered close up or fear people hoping the wall to gain entry.

I used the parental control settings on my router, that's dead easy if your router has this feature. I just set it to block all internet access 24/7 for my cameras, everything else works perfectly still with no real risk of messing anything up.

My 216j is running a 4K and a 4MP hik no issues at all with medium CPU usage both at full res settings, 10fps. What does your CPU usage read? Fwiw, the 4K is awesome but the 4MP hik is not much different from my 2mp starlight Dahua in daylight, obviously both are worse in the dark.

It's OK, it has WD reds, I'm happy they will cope just fine for now, if they fail I will try purple. Edit: Both should be fine, WD say they both have '3D active balance plus' and both support TLER, neither support RAFF (redPRO or PurpleNV only) but that's not really an issue I think?
