Drill bit size to bore hole for Cat-6 ethernet cable through stucco wall

Yes, thank you. I'm asking here for confirmation as this is my first time doing such a project and I'm not an experienced DIYer. I wish to buy the right masonry bit as opposed to spending money on an expensive masonry bit set that will never see use.

Drill bit size to bore hole for Cat-6 ethernet cable through stucco wall

Hi all, I'll be mounting a Dahua turret camera with Dahua junction box to a stucco wall. What is the the minimum drill bit size needed to bore a hole for an cat6 ethernet cable (just the cable, no, RJ-45 pin). I measured the outside diameter of my cable and it is about 6mm (slightly less than a...

Nest/Dropcam replacement, looking for advice from anyone with more knowledge than me

Hikvision released a newer 4MP version of their Hikvision cube cam, model DS-2CD2442FWD-IW. This camera can be found for under $100 on the gray market. GMAIL Failure? Anyone Else?

You create and use an app-specific password not the e-mail's password. Click the gear settings button, go to "Two-factor authentication - Start using one-time passwords" then you'll find a place to generate "Application passwords" and it'll generate app-specific password for Hikvision's email alerts

smb/cifs partitions used by Hikcams seem to require reformatting on a monthly basis

Re: smb/cifs partitions used by Hikcams seem to require reformatting on a monthly bas I was able to get my DS-2CD2332-I (running the latest 5.3.0 firmware) to work with samba shares that have EXT4 partitions after fiddling with some barely comprehensible folder permissions settings on the...

Re: smb/cifs partitions used by Hikcams seem to require reformatting on a monthly bas Not constantly, only very occasionally. But I was transferring some large files today, in fact - but only for half an hour. I don't want to believe something like that would overload my WRT1200AC (it runs a...

smb/cifs partitions used by Hikcams seem to require reformatting on a monthly basis

I've been experiencing a strange problem. Every month or so, a 32 GB NTFS partition mounted through samba on my router for the DS-2CD2332-I seems to fail, the status changes to uninitialized and the only solution to this issue seems to be to completely reformat the partition in a partition...

That's good to hear. It seems like the WD Blacks are the way to go for reliability, I've used WD Blacks for laptop drives for many years but then I switched exclusively to SSDs. It's good to hear WD still offers their 5 year warranty, it must be for a reason (better components and Q/A...
