It will be fine but there are better cams in this price range. If you need built in mic I would get Dahua turret again for $80Hi All,
I'm new to the forums and looking for a decent quality front door cam to see who's at the door.
klasipca, would you say the mini with the built in mic would make a decent choice for my first cam for that location? House is almost done being built and have plenty of expenses, so I'm trying to keep the cost down initially and will prob upgrade within a year or so.

black cameras with metal cases, exposed to the sun all day long = dead cameras, thats why you have a hard time finding them unless they are cheap plastic.
white cameras in metal casings get hot as hell in the summer's sun.. if you want a black one, paint it your self and install it some place it never see's the sun at any point in the year..
Would you have url / model for the dahua? I am looking for same use case, porch camera, I don't have ethernet there, so I need wifi, I was thinking of Hikvision 2532, not sure if this is best choice around though.
Probably if 12mm will reach it, but I can't test itHow do you think this camera would perform as a dedicated license plate cam?
Nice, VF IMX178, but 22mm is too short for me. I am using full 55mm on Huisun.you seen this camera yet klasipca?

looks like a promising LPR camera
Certainly that's the model number I ordered (and have just received), from the catalogue / price list, and it does appear possibly listed incorrectly on the website under a slightly different part number "KAZ-200DR20A" - the far right column here: http://www.cantonk.com/Info/View_pro.asp?id=1114The Cantonk model# KAZ-200DRZ20A model that @alastairstevenson ordered(?) also doesn't seem to be on Cantonk website anymore.
