The model is LRDC60XA200. It's the only one with auto zoom in the link above

Hi All,

I'm new to the forums and looking for a decent quality front door cam to see who's at the door.

klasipca, would you say the mini with the built in mic would make a decent choice for my first cam for that location? House is almost done being built and have plenty of expenses, so I'm trying to keep the cost down initially and will prob upgrade within a year or so.

It will be fine but there are better cams in this price range. If you need built in mic I would get Dahua turret again for $80

Would you have url / model for the dahua? I am looking for same use case, porch camera, I don't have ethernet there, so I need wifi, I was thinking of Hikvision 2532, not sure if this is best choice around though.

Thanks for rec...I'll look up the Dahua turrets. I def would like the built in mic, and hopefully I can find one in black.

black cameras with metal cases, exposed to the sun all day long = dead cameras, thats why you have a hard time finding them unless they are cheap plastic.

white cameras in metal casings get hot as hell in the summer's sun.. if you want a black one, paint it your self and install it some place it never see's the sun at any point in the year..

It'll only get direct sun exposure maybe towards the end of the day for an hour due to the location of my front door and the fact that it's a covered entry, but I may just go with painting one black if it gets too hard to find one.

Any particular recommendations for that particular price range?

not personally, seems all my cameras have ran in the $100-$600 range, those dahua turrets concern me they are not listed on dahua's site anywhere.. only one vendor on ali is slinging em, and for cheap.. but we have ppl here who bought em and they appear to be fine.

How do you think this camera would perform as a dedicated license plate cam?

This is one I bought, I only liked the cam because it had really nice builtin microphone, aside from that it's unimpressive in terms of image quality, but for porch cam will do fine

Probably if 12mm will reach it, but I can't test it

How quickly do they ship and how quickly did you get the cameras? Also, do they take paypal?

I got it in about a week with DHL shipping. Yes, you can pay via PayPal, that's the only method in Alibaba.

I see it says MOQ 10pcs/model after sample order. Do they hold you to this?

There is one issue I found with my cam where zoom level is not remembered after restarting the camera and it resets back to wide "1x".

From the price list posted. How do you tell which cameras have built in microphones

Food for thought for those of us considering the Longse/Cantonk VF versions. Seems as though Longse and Cantonk have been changing things around with their specs and model #s for these cameras.

In the S500 thread, several folks have recently mentioned extended shipping delays, and @Danfozzy85 just received something different than what was understood to be ordered:
https://www.ipcamtalk.com/showthread.php/6964-5-MegaGixel-1-1-8-quot-low-light-destroyer-for-90?p=98966&viewfull=1#post98966

Regarding the VF camera in this thread, @klasipca has provided tons of info about Longse model# LRDC60XA200 that he got with IMX322 sensor:
https://www.ipcamtalk.com/showthread.php/9362-69-motorized-varifocal-4x-(2-8mm-12mm)-Longse?p=94891&viewfull=1#post94891

But, specs for the same model# LRDC60XA200 are now different on the Longse website, with OV4689 sensor and 4MP resolution:
http://www.longse.com/Info/View_pro.asp?id=762

The Cantonk model# KAZ-200DRZ20A model that @alastairstevenson ordered(?) also doesn't seem to be on Cantonk website anymore. However, Cantonk do have a different but seemingly similar VF model# KAZ-200DRZ40A still showing the IMX322 sensor (on two product list pages):

https://www.ipcamtalk.com/showthread.php/9362-69-motorized-varifocal-4x-(2-8mm-12mm)-Longse?p=94955&viewfull=1#post94955

Anyone else have feedback about recent orders?

Certainly that's the model number I ordered (and have just received), from the catalogue / price list, and it does appear possibly listed incorrectly on the website under a slightly different part number "KAZ-200DR20A" - the far right column here: http://www.cantonk.com/Info/View_pro.asp?id=1114
I don't know if it's always been shown like that on the website - I don't believe I looked there, just used the catalogue / price list I got directly from Alex@Cantonk
