everything will work, additional functionality will appear, tags in the application are a person and a car, you can safely update.
for annke app you can use hik-connect
 
I would like to flash back the Annke CZ504 firmware, I'm currently on Hikvision firmware. The upgrade results in an error: "Upgrade error. Please contact our technical support for troubleshooting.", is there a fix/workaround?
 
Becoming sick of this stopid annke garbage with the 191DW or also known as FCD600, i decided to flash a hikvision firmware to it of the hikvision DS-2CD2367G2P-LSU/SL.

I simply flashed the downloaded zip file on the web admin page, and it worked, i now have a hikvision camera, lol! even settings were still there.
Hopefully the WDR and HLC are now working, without the camera failing after seconds, minutes or hours at random, with hlc or wdr enabled.
I will report back in hours/days if it is working better.

Funny joke: I now have a lower resolution camera then before......... Which is ofcourse nonsense. Annke was lying about the 8mp resolution. image quality is exactly the same as well.

I have the FCD600. Also flashed Hik firmware, no issues from 16 months ago. 6MP 2 x 3MP. Not 8MP.
Sensor is poor but reasonable for the near on 180 view.
 
The IDW191 is definitely advertised as a 4k camera, 2x 4mp. it is however a lie.
In any case, it seems the issue with wdr and hlc is solved using hikvision firmware. the image quality was and is sufficient, but not great no.
