Custom Firmware Downgrader 5.3.0 Chinese to 5.2.5 English

Hey guys, is there a solution for me? Tried several firmware versions, v.5.2.5, v5.3.0_150513 and v5.16 build 140612 (from whoslooking signature). After "transmit completed" message I receive no other messages and again back to "minimum system".
I have 4 DS-2CD2032F-I cameras, I decided to try to upgrade one camera (as a test) to 5.3.0 knowing there is a way to Downgrade but it seems is not working in my case. I used this firmware to upgrade to 5.3.

Thank you very much. I have two DS-2CD2032-I models from China which had 5.2.0 installed (English). Because I knew upgrading to the English versions wouldn't work, I downloaded the Chinese 5.3.0 from Hikvision.

After upgrading, the devices turned out bricked. Which is strange, because I do have another Chinese model that does has the Chinese 5.3.0 firmware.

I could recover the device with your firmware, thank you very much. But I do like to upgrade to 5.3.0, I'm fine with the Chinese firmware ("chooselanguage('en')" in the Javascript console always works). Is it possible to upgrade to the 5.3.0 firmware from Hikvision China website from your firmware? I tried with the web interface, but it got bricked again.

How can I use my (Chinese - multilanguage) Hikvision V5.2.5. NVR (DS-7104N-SN) with my (Chinese - multilanguage) Hikvision 2CD-2032F-IW camera V5.3.0???

Do I need to downgrade the firmware of the camera???

Hi I tried to change the language of my Chinese DS-7104N-SN/P was able to succeed on it buy It wont detect my camera. The firmware of my camera is V5.3.5_151113 , any chance you guys can help me. I really appreciate your guidance.

What exactly did you change on the NVR?

Hi I change the language of the NVR form Chinese to English. Before I change it they were working now I will not. It will always say no connection, I was thinking If I need also to change the language of my Camera.


by the way my camera is

DS-2CD3T10-I3
V5.3.5_151113

Try connecting the camera as ONVIF instead of Hikvision.
If that works - it does suggest maybe the 'language mismatch' problem, though usually that is more obvious.

under multilanguage you mean only english or real multilanguage, i looking for posibility to get german back.

You need to put the IEfile.tar.gz file from another camera to get multilang back. Having English is the first step back.

just login through telnet and copy to the sd card.

you need basic linux knowledge otherwise dont do.

Is there no guide for this? I have found option to activate telnet. Advanced config -> Security services.

Seems V5.3.0_150513 wont let me connect telnet, even when enable the Chinese option boxes in the web interface. Ah well wasted day then!

Downgrader doesn't work on DS-2CD3132F-IW. But it is recoverable, just put the right .dav from (DS-2CD3XX2 Chinese IPC_R0_CN_STD_5.3.0_150513.zip) file back in the TFTP folder.

Hopefully that will save someone some time and stress!

Isn't it going to be SSH, not telnet?
Telnet was removed quite a while back, it's a security risk with usernames/passwords in plain over the network.
But you will find yourself dumped into the 'psh' restricted shell, where very very little can be done.

hi Defender, I recon it would but could not find the 3XX2 5.2.5 firmware Hence me trying to copy the files off a hacked 3132 camera running 5.2.5 141201

It seems I cannot install any firmware on my DS-2CD2032F-I, tried several, after transmit completed I received no Upgrade finished message. A week ago I've managed to inject a 5.3.0 firmware but after a tried to use 5.2.5 downgrader - failed, now I cannot use any firmware, I'm always back to minimized system. What can I try else?
