GMAIL Failure? Anyone Else?

Hmm weird gmail alert was down a few dAys.now it's back up lol.

Test email is not working either...
I tried with Yandex, but that password is too long and copy/paste is denied into the camera GUI....
 
I have never been able to get mail to work.

I have two DS-2CD2332-I camera's,
Firmware Version = V5.2.0 build 140721
Encoding Version = V5.0 build 140714

My NVR is a DS-7608NI-E2/8P
Firmware Version = V3.3.2 build 150522
Encoding Version = V5.0 build 150507

When select test I get, 'Failed to connect the test server.' after about 15 secs.

Do I need to update firmware to get this to work?

Update your NVR to version V3.3.4 (v3.3.2 was notoriously buggy for e-mail alerts). Just because test fails doesn't mean it won't work. That's Hikvision for you!

Today i have been told this:

Change the SMTP server to 74.125.136.109 and it will all work again

I have the same problem using different settings cant connect to test server uk
 
Mine started back up a couple days ago, was working this morning however as of this afternoon it stopped again.

edit: It's working again. Strange.

Same here mate.

Can anyone please suggest an alternative to Gmail that will allow emails with attachments from a Hikvision camera. I am happy to pay for this service as it is a feature that i find very beneficial.

As mentioned earlier in this post, Yandex mail is still working just fine. At least for me (2032 and 2332 cameras, 5.2.3 firmware).

I have tried yandex & gmail myself tried and get the same error message that it cannot connect to the test server on both cameras.. Although it was working perfectly before even reset to default settings which hasn't helped.
 
Got mine working after a lot of messing I finally realized that it was my cameras network/tcip needed resetting up for some reason had nothing to do with the email settings. :S
 
I managed to make it work with Yandex Mail with app password, Test mail is working, but no event is logged anymore and camera is not sending email for alarm events... it seems there is a time bomb into the firmware which causes generics malfunctioning after some time...
 
Yes I agree, I just noticed today there was a 8-9hr window where I got zero alerts using yandex. I know this can't be, as with Gmail, I get alerts throughout the day. :/
