And unless there is a problem with that cam or there's feature that the new f/w might provide that you must have...I personally would not risk bricking the cam with new f/w.

I'm trying to figure out how to upgrade the firmware for a Flir/Digimerge/Lorex branded DNE12TL2 camera.

I used the way back machine to find the Digimerge web page where the most recent firmware was once located

However archive.org does not have a copy of the linked file

Does anyone know how I would find a copy of the updated firmware or figure out which Dahua camera this is so that the Dahua firmware can be installed?

Have you run this API command to confirm which camera it is?

Hi Does anyone have the latest firmware that was available for the QSee cameras QCN8068B and QCN8068BA?
I think im looking for

2.460.QS01.0.R, Build Date: 2017-09-28 for the QCN8068BA but cannot find it. I pulled out a new camera still in box and the firmware is behind all my others, and i don't seem to have the file anymore.
and i have no idea what file i need for 8068B camera

Unfortunately the camera is useless with the firmware thats on it, it wont auto balance or work with my NVR, I had a Hard Drive failure a year ago and sadly lost the firmware thats loaded on all the other cameras...

Or if possible to just use Dahua firmware.

Appreciate any help anyone can lend. The camera system still works and I don't really have funds to replace it, but i'd like the camera on the latest version with the rest.

Thanks
Jeremy

does anyone know what Dahua model the Lorex W452AS 2K Wi-Fi Floodlight Security Camera (32GB) would be?

Are you assuming by the way they look or did you compare the specs. If you compare the specs they are completely different products!

The FCC photos of the Lorex W452AS & Dahua floodlight cams main boards look alot alike!

Just thought that I'd chime in and mention that I decided to do some work on automatically pulling down many firmwares across multiple OEMs, and built a site that can help with finding other potentially compatible firmwares for devices. It can be found at:
Here's an example of a camera with a few different firmwares that should be compatible: Here's an example of a firmware that internally lists multiple cameras as supported:
As a further note, many firmwares on the site don't show any compatible devices. This is due to how I'm programmatically determining the devices supported. I check the check.img first, then check if Install.lua contains any board.name or `vendor.Name`s, then fall back to checking the u-boot.bin.img header information (although this usually is the SoC that U-boot is targeting, this can sometimes be a model number). I'd love to hear from anyone who knows any other ways of determining compatibility.

Nice info!

Before I update my Lorex W452AS with the Dahua IPC-WL46AP / IPC-WL46 also noted as IPC-L46N I wanted to download the Lorex firmware but I don't know where it is. I have both my W452AS cams bugging me to download the new firmware but I have no way to know where it's coming from! I wish I knew more about having or network snooping to figure it out!

I'm confused! what does dvd or nor firmware have to do with my camera?

Those are all the firmware sources that I've found for Lorex. Too bad none of them are IPC's update lists. The only reference I've seen on the Lorex site related to firmware is for DVR/NVR's, with a note to call them if you need a copy of firmware.

I think many of us know NVR's with "industrial grade CPU" or whatever that is....doesnt't tell me much. - but i'm not the brightest bulb anyway.

You can usually find the throughput easy enough, 380mbts seems comon. So does 180 in smaller sys

The installation instructions tell you if you use AI on 2 channels it reduces the bandwidth/throughput of the NVR/XVR

I see they're marketing 12mp cameras now, maybe even some with more than that but I;n not sure any NVR i personally own (not many) would support a camera with 12mp and you probably would need so much light it'd be worthless at dusk/dark.

Edited for a more sober statement.....
