Idmss push notifications "failed to subscribe"

I've never been able to get push notification to work with the last unofficial firmware. I gave up a couple months ago and decided to check up on it today. I upgraded to the latest unofficial firmware from 8/14. I'm able to subscribe to push notifications now. Will need to test it out and see if it actually works when I get home.

I've updated to the newest firmware on my nvr and push notifications now work. However, this is the first time I've ever used this and I can't get pictures to be pushed. What I mean is, when the ivs push notification shows on my phone, I have it selected to show me a screenshot of the scene. However, it says "no record" of a picture but if I click the video, I can get a video clip. How do I get the snapshot to work? Thanks

Do you have your NVR scheduled to record snapshots? I don't use those, vid much better to me, but I would think you need to actually be recording the snapshots in order to have them pushed to your phone.

I think they record snapshots as my nvr will email me snapshots of ivs triggers. When I get home I'll double check.

I believe there is a bug with the snapshot. On mine, snapshot is a hit and miss. Mine is like every 10 to 15 snapshot I get one no record snapshot

Andy is going to let Dauha know about this.

I upgraded to the firmware provided by @EMPIRETECANDY here (click the little up arrow next to his name to go to post)

and now I am able to successfully subscribe to the IVS notifications of the NVR device on my Android (gDMSS Plus version 3.49.003). I tested this on my LAN and also connected to my VPN and it works on both. Maybe even better than before.

Dahua has had a few issues this year since I got all my equipment (IVS skipping frames and the IVS pushes breaking) but they seem to be relatively quick at getting fixes out. I know @EMPIRETECANDY has sent some of our concerns to Dahua engineers, so thank you for that as I'm sure it helped move things along.

For the past 4 days my alerts have not been pushed to my phone. I checked and I am still subscribed and I even tried resuscribing but my phone is not getting the pushes. I messed around with the cameras a bit over the weekend, but that was just adding some scripts to Domoticz for auto changing day/night profiles (on all cameras) and adding temperature to the on screen display on some cameras (only 2 cameras neither of which have IVS events on them). I do not think this would have or did have any effect on the IVS pushes to my phone.

welcome to the club :(

I missed a fair bit of back and forth here but I am still not getting any notifications whatsoever from iDMSS Plus on my local network. Did we all determined that you HAVE to forward ports in to the NVR to get this to work? The way I am reading it others are getting alerts without having to do so, so I wanted to be sure.

What I have noticed myself if I wanted to push from my NVR, i need the upnp enabled or port forward set. However on cameras, you don't need upnp or port forward but you do need a sandisk card in the camera.

pushes from camera working fine for me, no sdcard, no forwarding. pushes from nvr not working no matter what.

Try upnp or port forwarding on NVR to see if pushes works

Bill
thats what the "no matter what" part meant ;) doesnt even work on my local network and port forwards have no affect on that.

what we can gather is that there is no set solution to get pushes to work. its a crap shoot.

Curious, did you ever modified or changed the port on NVR?

Have I asked about the android and the smart phone device you are using?
There is an issue with Android 7.x with push notifications, I know some devices where the push is only working for a few hours, after reopening the app it starts working again for the next few hours. It´s not a general Android problem, because lineageos 14.1 works well. (big Problems with Stock OnePlus 3T, Umi Plus) We think it has to do with the modified doze feature from android 7. It´s known, that this can cause such problems.

BTW, the push service goes through google servers and not dahua servers. No google account, no push subscription ...

I don't know if it will make any different but someone (from China I think based on his written English) posted in another thread to go back one version older on Android to get it working again. (if I read his post correctly with his written accent)

Perhaps the newest version on Android have issues and need to downgrade to get it working again.

The other thread - Hit / Miss on iDMSS push

could be, but pushes direct from cams work fine and consistent, just not NVR. Have tried full reset and still only cams work. so I'm just waiting till the next version to try again cause nothing else to try.

You get pushes from the cameras, but can you actually see the recorded video clip? Or just the fact that it saw an IVS trip? Because when I had the cameras set up in gDMSS, it would say "record unavailable" or something like that when I tried to watch the event.

no video, just live feed. thats the huge disadvantage. But at least its something.

I have the same issue send to my German distributor. Push is coming, but no snapshots or video. Only live is working and manual recordings search.
I have less hope for a fast solution. I started with the first firmware release, with many problems, after 1,5 years after 2 upgrades new problems appears, what has worked before.

Gdmss plus has got an update on the 22.09. therefore I switched back my firmware, could you try If something changed?
1.New search device function
2.Voltage check alarm
3.Alarm hub has detectors of flood, smoke and triple PIR
4.Logic modification of cloud device input
5.Fixed other problems
