Mini PTZ v2: Firmware discussion

Hello. Any idea what parameters should I use with this firmware on Genius NVR software to make it work with PTZ

I was told that I would be informed by manufacture when camera needed update, but we all know how that goes.

We purchased 10 units of these 2 Mpx cameras and 30 units of the 4Mpx version for testing.

We understood that the manufacturer of the camera was the manufacturer of the firmware, and the electronics, but after some interaction I realized that they didn’t had idea of many things, so I suspect that there should be a company that makes the firmware, and perhaps the electronics for all of these camera manufacturers.

So I am trying to confirm all that information, because we were thinking in using these cameras for some special purposes, and I think that we won’t find any manufacturer with the ability to give good support. We were also thinking if it would be possible to reach the original manufacturer of the design and purchasing the rights to have the code of the firmware, in order to be able to modify it and correct some problems that are very obscure to us.

So I am writing here to ask you people if you have any comments or more information about this.

You got suckered...these are junk and they will start failing...dont install it for customers who need working cameras or customers who you dont want to upset...

Sure like to kill the double image on the night view, but as long as I get the plate I guess it will do.
The shots are made from 2 houses away which I estimate at 180 feet to targets.

Hi,
I found your comment in the form of a similar problem for a CHINA DONGJIA camera. I'm sending you the data in the device information. My problem is that it does not record on SD CARD on motion detection, it only makes TIME files of 128 Mb, at about. 5 min. I wonder if your firmware matches your camera.
One more camera is currently defective with a firmware V2.0.1 Build 201603031830S, which worked on motion detection, which made me acquire another 3 pieces. all with the same problem. Waiting for your reply.

Upgrade Notes:

During the upgrade process, ensure that the network is smooth and do not power off during the upgrade process. Otherwise, the device will crash.

Upgrade steps:

1: IE through the first upgrade IPNC_S2l2.0.1_build20161020102012.zip this file, automatically restart after the implementation of the second step of upgrading.

2: and then upgrade the kernel file UPG_S_Kernel_201611231524.zip, after the upgrade is complete, IE restore the default operation can be.

dunno. what is the issue you think needs addressing with new firmware?
generally, 'upgrading' these things is just asking for trouble,
unless you have a specific issue you know they have addressed...
 
Ok, maybe I asked the wrong question. I'm happy with the firmware update so far, it solved a lot of problems with my camera, in particular PTZ problems and motion freeze issues...
I meant that I updated the camera firmware to: IPNC_S2l2.1.1_build20170314122826.zip, UPG_S_Kernel_201611231524.zip.
Only the version of the Program version has been updated. Is that right? Оr the firmware is not fully installed and I'll have trouble with the camera?

I fixed it. Forgot that after updating the firmware it is necessary to reset the settings to factory defaults.)

Hi

can anyone post the web plugin, i don't seem to be able to download it from the camera.

any one know how to default the camera with out knowing the pass code????
