From both sides. Pretty big cut considering they were meeting soon anyway. Do they know something we don't? Numbers aren't in on either side on this one, but I'd agree with the others. Dismissing it as the flu at this point is irresponsible unless you know something that the world's governments do not.
Mockery and sarcasm towards someone else's scepticism could be taken as a form of "name calling", wouldn't you agree?
It really sucks when others around you are not covering their faces when they're sneezing and coughing everywhere.
But there seems to be a lot of drama and less action in the works. This is going to come to an individual level where we all need to do the responsible thing. Nobody should be telling you not to buy a mask. At this point, your health will precede everybody else's. You gotta do what you gotta do. It shocks me when a professor / spokesperson tells us no reason to buy a mask when the viral particles are so small that they can pass through; shows where your qualification is at. First of all there are two types of masks being distributed, surgical masks and N95 masks. The N95 masks are for both preventative and infection measures. This special mask is widely used in the construction business especially when it comes to asbestos abatement. The N95 masks consists of multiple layers to ensure proper filtration and protection are being given to yourself as well as others, to contain the spread. Now no mask is 100% perfect but at least gives you some peace of mind knowing the risks out there. You will come across people that self-contradict especially infectious disease specialists, and institutional professors themselves. Buy all the Hand Sanitizer and Disinfectant Sprays and Wipes you need. This pattern is only going to get more prevalent in the days, weeks, and months ahead. I'm not hyping this up.
