Pandemic threat? Anyone else concerned?

They were playing Celine Dion at Costco yesterday. For the first time I see them displaying Yamaha Pianos. A Costco shopper decided to chip in and played "My Heart Will Go On"
My response was DAMN

I hope that Costco shopper sanitized that keyboard!

Cuomo touted "NYS Clean" as cheaper than mainstream sanitizers, with a gallon jug costing just $6.10 and a 7 ounce bottle costing $1.12, and an smaller "travel size" bottle coming out to only 84 cents.

The sanitizer is made by prisoners for Corcraft Products, which is the "brand name" for the Division of Correctional Industries. Incarcerated people in locations around the state make products for Corcraft which are then sold to government agencies in New York including schools, fire departments and non-profits.

Corcraft's website says the prisoners make everything from license plates, to mattresses, to cleaning products -- all in the name of work experience and to prepare offenders for release.

Cuomo said NYS Clean is a superior product to others on the market. While the World Health Organization and CDC suggest a minimum 60 percent alcohol content, NYS Clean has 75 percent alcohol. " Purell -- a competitor of NYS Clean -- has 70 percent," he said.

Blah blah bah Governor Cuomo...now tell me where I buy the fuQin' stuff.

I can almost guarantee you that shopper did not. Also, one shopper within feet coughed without covering her mouth. So much for proper hygiene.

Should Covid-19 turn out to be all-panic and no-juice it has been a blessing because it has proven Bill Gates right: we're not ready...in the least. And that lesson alone would be invaluable....except that, knowing humans as we are, we'll probably all go back to sleep, and arguing about who's more righteous, the Democrats or the Republicans. I'd bet a dollar to donuts that in such a scenario we fail to recognize that we need to work together towards the betterment of all. This will be driven by the lever-pullers who want to drive us into opposing tribes in order to control us so that they can remain in power and reap the rewards of being on top. And we -- being the sheeple that we are -- are dutifully herded in whichever direction they point.

I’m actually good. I moved my nest egg into money market and bonds/treasuries back in Sept. I’m actually up a bit the past 10 days.

Now it’s a matter of deciding when and where to get back in. I’m watching energy, travel, and big industrials with a 2+ year outlook. GE is a screaming buy right now at $8 but was heading towards $15 just a few weeks ago.

But with no buyers today at the session end, there’s still more downside to come I’m afraid.
