Pandemic threat? Anyone else concerned?

Drove by our local Costco this evening on the way to dinner. The parking lot was maybe 1/2 tp 3/4 full. Plenty of empty spaces. Last week at this time the wife and I went shopping there and trying to find a parking spot was a nightmare. The restaurant we ate at was right across the street and we could watch the parking lot. The activity was way down compared to the previous Sunday.

Too many people go to shopping in one time, that is not good. Sunday the data here drop again. If no further delay, this week wuhan can down to within 10.
Good news the Mcdonload and KFC re-open again in Wuhan this weekend, lots of guys are very happy for the chickens and hamburgs. Local people said the best food in the world. ^^ Make order on APP and the Courier send the food at their front door. They are really very hard during the past 46days, stay at home and can't go anywhere.
2 months ago, wuhan not control well, and make all medical system crashed, doctos no masks, no protective suits, had 3000+ doctors and nurses bad infection. The the Gov send 26000 doctors and nurses there, cost 1 month contolled everything. My friend in WUHAN he said, he is enough to eat vegetables everyday, and only Meat pls!!

Probably because they sufficiently stocked or much of the items they need are still out of stock and still waiting for word when inventory returns

Spoiler Alert: At the end John M. Barry states that it is "important to tell the truth" to prevent the prevalence of infection worldwide. Cameras don't lie
On another note, some are saying that a Trojan horse is docking at bay later today. Also, additional rockets fired off the Korean Peninsula according to unverified media, "where to Houston?"

Woke up with headache, lethargy, and congestion this morning. Goodbye fellas...it's been nice knowing ya'll. hypnotized.gif

I hope you're kidding Q!

Ironically, I think I picked up a cold/flu going to Walmart a week ago to stock up on Nyquil just in case I got sick. Who knew that all the cold germs would be gravitating in the location where all the cold medicines are stocked. All those gross sick people apparently were hovering around the medicine coughing all over everything. Now I'm one of those gross people...but starting to recover...just between you and me so don't call the WHO.

My other reaction to Q was that I wake up like that most mornings. I had a cold/flu back around Christmas/New Years. All gone now. But don't tell the CDC.

"They" say that "Politico Playbook PM" is a must read on K Street...

HOUSE REPUBLICAN leaders gathered this weekend for a retreat in the tony Eastern Shore town of St. Michaels, Md. But one key person was missing. House Minority Leader KEVIN MCCARTHY announced that Rep. LIZ CHENEY (R-Wyo.) -- the No. 3 House Republican -- would not be joining because of the coronavirus. CHENEY spokesman Jeremy Adler: “Many of us have people in our families who are particularly vulnerable and, after consulting with physicians, Liz determined the best approach is to limit participation in non-essential gatherings.”

At Costco on Friday, there was no panic buying, but one guy was prepping with a pallet stocked with liquor and a big screen TV. Sounds good to me

I think it was a line from Babylon5: "If you must endure, at least make yourself comfortable."

Unfortunately, two (2) months after Covid-19 was recognized, in the greatest and most wealthy country on the planet, I can't be tested unless I go to an emergency room with pneumonia.

Fear. Humankind's greatest motivator.
