PTZ1A225U-IRA-N 2MP 25x Starlight

That's strange as it's working fine in IE for me here using the Dahua plugin 3.0.0.3 - the Dahua Plugin Class extension is definitely enabled within IE?

I think I've narrowed it down. When running WebPlugin3.3.27645.0, my SD49225T-HN works great, but both of my SD59225's won't work. If I upgrade to WebPlugin3.3.60413.0, then the 59's work, but the 49 doesn't. Having both installed at the same time works only with whichever one was last installed.

I've upgraded the firmware on both the 49 and 59 to the latest. A bit of a pickle.

If you're up for a bit of mucking around in your registry, you may be able to modify what plugin versions your browser thinks will work with a given camera. I'll refer you to one of my past posts on the subject: Plugins for cameras won't since Firefox update

Don't forget to click apply.

You may have more success logging into the camera directly and not trying to use an nvr to change the setting.

Thanks. I did see the “apply” at least the second attempt.

I had someone helping me w the setup so I didn’t see every step he took, and at the end he seemed a bit frustrated. But he did mention there being a password for the camera but he didn’t get past it. Is there a default password? Is the access easy enough? Thanks. (Yes I’m a noob).

a) is the camera initialized properly? Easy way is via ConfigTool. (ConfigTool won't work if the camera is plugged into a NVR and you can't access the camera web page without going through the NVR webpage first)
b) if it is plugged into a NVR, it will more than likely take the NVR admin password as default

I should add, ConfigTool won't find it if it is plugged into a NVR. I edited my post above for future clarity.
I was actually just scouring the forum for the tool.

So thus far I haven’t had a Laptop hooked up to the cameras. Just the nvr and use of iDMSS PLUS APP.

Is there a section here on how to hook it up to the config tool? (Keep me from going through the 194 pages of results for “config tool”).

Forget the ConfigTool for now as it won't look past the NVR via the internet port (it will work if you are on the NVR switch side via a laptop). Here is the download link for future reference.

a) what model number NVR do you have? If it doesn't have a P in the model number, it's not PoE, and it isn't going to work
b) using iDMSS app isn't the best thing you have going for you. That is a whole new set of problems. Scratch the app until you have everything else working.
c) hook the NVR up to a TV/Monitor via the HDMI connection and see if you see the camera.

I have 2 cameras running to a NVR5208-8P-4KS2. I see the cameras with the image upside down. I was using the controls via the nvr to “flip” “180” but it had no effect.

If you are seeing the camera in the NVR, try flipping it something other than 180 degrees and clicking apply.
If that doesn't work, plug your laptop (be sure the network card isn't set for a static IP) into the back of the NVR. Then with an old version of IE (11) or PaleMoon Browser, enter the IP address of the camera (likely 10.10.x.x) and login directly to the camera.

I tried formatting the Samsung microSD in this camera, and now it is in a continous boot-loop. When I log in to the camera, I can't even see the microSD card anymore, under STORAGE. Looks like it has failed completely, and will need replacement. Is this how all Dahua camera's behave with microSD card failures? Card model is an EVO Select, and it's about 1 year old.

@weigle2 are you on the latest firmware as that brought a lot of fixes for microSD cards?

You may have to remove the microSD card to get it to stabilise and then upgrade the firmware and see how it goes then.

The latest firmware from the Dahua site has been much more stable for me when microSD cards are in the camera.

I'm still on the original firmware that came with the camera - 2.622.0000000.1.R.E4.2512.9A.NR, Build Date: 2017-11-21

Even after installing a new 64GB Samsung Evo Select card I had the same issue. Oddly, you don't seem to need to format the card in the camera. I powered it up, and the card seemed to be initialized in the boot up process. It wasn't until after I did the usual Format in the camera, that I started to have the same issue with continual boot loops. I took a chance, and backed up my config, Defaulted the the camera (not factory default) and suddenly everything started working correctly. I did restore the backed up config, and even then everything seemed to function correctly.

I will try the new firmware, when I get more time. I'm just worried I'll end up with some other issue as Dahua seems to not vet their firmware very well lately.

Hello,

I would like to buy this camera but i can't find it available in Aliexpress. (i'm in France)
Can you please share where you bought it ?

Should it requires a specific POE adaptor or specific IVR to get this camera working properly ?
Actually i expect to get it connected to my Synology Surveillance Station app.

Many thanks,
