Picked up a bargain 48 port Dell Powerconnect 7048P from eBay for $55 which supports 802.3at and it's powering this camera nicely (you have to manually enable high power mode on the ports for cameras like this).
The plan is to replace my existing Avaya 5520-48T-PWR with this and that way I can potentially get away with injectors until this goes bang
And here is day video with PFA test
I've not seen it mentioned elsewhere but there is a newer firmware on the Dahua site from late December 2017 (the previous version I had installed was November 2017).

I have updated mine here and will see how it goes once I get it up today (it's the same version number for the 59225 now too).
I'm seeing some strange auto tracking behaviour currently on this 1a225u:
It's boring but the auto tracking kicks in and then totally misses the target twice - maybe the similar contrast is causing problems for it?
The two sections are at 0:43 and 3:25 and other than that it's tracked nothing else today.
The weather hasn't been great out today but I'll do some walk arounds tomorrow.
I've been using the 1A225U with OpenALPR for the last week and it's been really good even capturing plates at night time, however the focus drifted in and out quite a few days when switching between day and night - a quick press of the focus button in the web viewer would sort it.
