Review-Dahua IPC-HFW1831C-PIR 4k Mini Bullet

Ok I looked at the review again but I'm not seeing anything about the 2 way feature with any examples of quality or video/audio. Am I missing something?

I don't think anyone's posted examples of the 2-way audio. I'll see if I can do one tonight or tomorrow night. Examples of this camera's video quality are in post #2 of this thread.

@looney2ns, do you have a SD card you can use to test reviewing SD recordings from this camera for @karl1980? If not, I can try to swing by the store and grab one and try it out.

Thank you, that's what I'm looking for!

Yes, I do have, I'll give it a whirl.

thx for the golden tip!
Both are working and streaming and now comes the record part.. each cctv has ab 128gb sd card and on the cctv settings i see motion detections in playback (see pic) however no size and no playback possible. When doing it via the smart pss: no records...

Motion settings look enabled and ivs activated via smart pss. All set to record in 4K, or should i lower resolution and increase fps?

what am i doing wrong?

btw: not so happy about the nightresults, pitch black...
Most any 4k cam will require lots of light at night.

No problems at all reviewing video or stills from SD card.
The card I used was a Samsung Evo 64gb.
Here is the firmware currently on this cam.
I used the plugin from the cam in Chrome with IE tab.

mine's firmware: 2.800.0000002.0.R Build: 2019-01-11.
You must have sent your positive vibes @looney2ns because now it works (i did reboot them earlier today). But the playback is very slowmotion using the plugin from the cam. Is this because it's via PC (not using any NVR)?

Any IR illuminator that goes with this model? Maybe via a splitter with the other cable?

i just figured out both of my cams are not recording any video, but taking several snapshots and that's creating this slowmotion 'look a like' playback. On the smartpss playback i can't find any records, but over 2000 images (jpeg) What did i do wrong this time. :)

Here is an audio example. This was recorded on my cell, so it does sound better in person, than it does here.
It's not audiophile quality by any means, you can't expect it to be with such a small speaker.
But it easily gets the job done.

@karl1980
Smart PSS can be buggy at times, are you able to accomplish the actions your attempting in the cams own interface?
I wouldn't depend on SmartPSS to do the cam setup correctly.

Make sure that you have your record and snapshot schedules setup correctly, and set for auto, not continuous. If you get lost, set the cam back to defaults and start over.
