I was seeing odd things in Chrome with the new firmware until I changed the video settings so that the I frame interval matches the FPS.
 
@carbonita can you confirm that what you shared is live video (screen grab) from the web gui of the cam direct, not playback and not from an NVR gui (web connected) etc ? How did you grab that screenshot, while live vid was playing and using a snapshot tool, pic straight from the cam capture to an SD card (in cam) etc ? I know you mentioned Chrome but mobile, desktop etc. Looking at the PNG image then it looks like it was grabbed from mobile. Please confirm
 
@carbonita the snipping of a vid you've paused can cause some issue when you grab and ultimately get an inter-frame or other artifacts of compression. Do you have the cam set to 'snapshot' for any events ? If so that would be best to take a look at what the cam grabbed in those situations. What do neighboring frames look like and how does the live vid look when you playback ?
 
@Wildcat_1 Unusual image is seen during playback. Immediately after the artifact, (single frame stepping) the video segment ends. The snapshots attached to email did show a man standing there.

Face detection doesn't work that well (also detection != recognition) and doesn't work concurrently with other types of IVS rules.
The specs and datasheets list what types of IVS a camera supports.
