Review-I'll be the guinea pig for the new SD59225U-HNI PTZ.

is anyone running a newer firmware on the SD59225U-HNI than this? Just curious.

I just received this cam this week with this version of firmware.

I also set the camera up to a generic Dahua config and the PTZ and Zoom works well. Still playing around on IVS. Andy is the best for buying, still waiting on the varifocals. SD599225U-HNI Firmware version.jpgSD599225U-HNI Cam Config.jpg

The bolts came with my PFA120 along with an allen wrench.

Do you get the M8x15 Bolts with the PFA120 Junction Box?

so what are you guys doing with the pigtails? it's pretty damn thick and not very flexible, at least on my ptz, I don't see how I'd be able to curl it up inside of a junction box without bending it way more than I'd like given how stiff it is.

Normally 7-9days pick up at NL, and delivered in 2-3 days after picking up by UPs. Free tax way just little slow, but save money.

Confirm. I got the tracking number on 24th of Feb, and today UPS finally says it arrived in NL, first at Rotterdam then 95 minutes later in Eindhoven. Scheduled delivery is Wednesday end of day :)
During the weekend we had fantastic weather here in Warsaw with around almost 20*C which is very unusual for beginning of March. I hope for similar weather next weekend and enjoyable time spent mounting it with a help of one or two beers :)

or 3 or 4.

are there anythings to worry about when trying to use auto tracking with trip wire, like, do you need to be a certain distance away from the camera for it to work well, does it need lots of pixels before you get to the tripwire for it to pick you up, stuff like that? I'm playin around with it.

So here's what I got:

What did you set your min-max to?
I drew a target with size 473*2091. I also added a fast moving rule, but I'm not sure if that one is working. It doesn't track the fast moving cars that zip by.

Make sure that the trip wire rules you draw are not occupying the entire frame. You need to leave some part of the frame outside the tripwire so that the wire can be "tripped". Otherwise, it doesn't detect anything.

The auto tracking on this camera is not impressive. It doesn't zoom into a face or a license plate, and so I have to say that so far this has been pretty useless. The first video is proof that while it tracked, the picture quality was not good enough for me to catch the plate. Recommendations, "you're an idiot, you should do this..." suggestions are welcome.

It is also quite unreliable. Sometimes cars drive by and it doesn't track them, even though they are slow and dead in middle of the tripwire. Sometimes, the people walk by and it doesn't track them. Occasionally, it also does funky things like this:

No doubt it is a deterrent. The camera looks very ominous to a passer by when it tracks them. The auto tracking helps there, but not in the way I wanted it to.

My wife will kill me if she reads this :(

Edit: Also, it is nearly impossible to get this working with the browser app. The plugins either don't work or keep crashing. I have a mac and tried configuring this chrome and safari. Didn't work at all on the edge/IE (wants a chrome plugin).

After playing with it some more I got it working pretty reliably, I left min 0 and Max the highest number which is default, what seems to make a difference is when I had a second line, I'm not sure why yet but I guess you just have to play with the trip wire, also I swear if I set it for one way trip like a to b it would work then I could get it to work bi directional, odd, more experimentation is needed.

Finally got my SD59225U-HNI mounted today but I had the same problem as others with the PFB300S wall mount not having the correct angle. Ended up using shims to straighten it up some.

They are hex head bolts that came with the PFA120 junction box and the allen wrench to tighten them was also included.
