Review-I'll be the guinea pig for the new SD59225U-HNI PTZ.

I sent Andy these, similar to what was already posted - Both of the ones I received are like this...

I'm ordering some other things from him, so I was under the impression that he would be replacing mine along with these other shipments...I checked with Dahua in the US just for fun, and (not surprisingly) they didn't want to have anything to do with it. For my mounting situation (corner mount) I may just be able to tweak the corner mount itself. Those just arrived today so I need to pull them out of the box to see. For those mounting against something flat, shimming is going to create weather infiltration in the long run unless you seal it all up and keep up the maintenance on that seal.

It's not that shimming wouldn't work, but for most of us these cams will be up for many years and having a semi "ghetto" install just isn't very appealing...Based on the photo above, that would be a awful lot of silicone too - I agree that it still looks off, even shimmed. Could just be the pic, but..

NO wrong. I have paid good money for what I believed to be a "quality" premium product and I don't want to be shimming and siliconing ( Bodge UP ) with a $500 plus camera I want it right and I personally am not happy.

It's not wrong... you should silicone it anyways....

and yes you paid a little over 500... remind yourself where else you could get the same camera that cheap and what kind of service you would get...

I'll take Andy, add 2 washers and silicone vs a more expensive vendor that I can complain to on a minor issue and probably get nowhere.

It literally is one small washer for each top hole to make it true and minimal silicone, which should be used anyways....i don't understand what the big deal is...such an easy fix.

Am I looking at a different picture here ? it looks more than a "small" washer to solve the problem more like 1" or 2 but if your happy with yours then so be it but I'm not.
Then send it back, it looks like a manufacturing defect, so i doubt there is anything he can do...otherwise wait for replacement parts.

This can be a problem, i never get the feedback for this before, so i will send some new bracket out for you.
Larebear - I hope you don't mind me saying that your camera still doesn't look like its sitting at 90 degree after you have put that thick shim on. Just checked a few prices here in UK and its above £50 with delivery from a UK stockist. I hope Andy can sort us all out quickly and efficiently as I don't fancy waiting another 2 weeks for a bracket to arrive from China.

I have sent Andy a PM stating what I have said above.
As we checked here, this is dahua porblem. Will ship some brackets out, just leave message for me if anyone needs to change, just send me a private message.
With your shipping address and contact No. via ship a little slow way for these. I have some old stocks here for this bracket, should be OK.

American reseller price for this camera is probably $700+ lol

Andy, if you happen to have a small bubble level, or bubble level app on your phone that you can set on the side and/or top like these pics just to double check, might be helpful. I'd hate for you to ship a bunch that are the same...Kind of difficult to tell from your pic if they are any different.

Oh wow, that's really bad if your pipe is flush in that pic...geeze...

@EMPIRETECANDY - I think so, but you might want to double check either with a bubble level or send some pics like above (plate flush on something, pipe flush on something) to double check.
