Yes, the light came on when I walked in front of the camera, and went off when I stopped, with the LED linkage enabled in motion detection.
Doesn't it "flash" vs coming on then off...seems to be what mine does and the Linkage does say "flashing alarm"?

Any idea what the "threshold" setting does in the External Device LED Light settings under System?

Yes.. I know it's the time that an issue is in a trigger. Was simply wondering how that relates to the LED light turning on since it's a linkage.

Eg if the intrusion threshold is set to 1 second before it triggers an intrusion action, if you have the LED light threshold set to 3 does that mean it takes another 4 seconds before the light turns on? Will try and test it, but getting intermittent results in general from the camera's LED so was curious if anyone has figured it out!

Started a comparison of the 4mm version of the Hikvision 2347 vs the Dahua 5442 3.6mm for those interested. Maybe let me know if I should change the settings of the Hik accordingly.

As I play around with the Dahua cam, I'm liking the tweakability of it more and more. Anyone know why there isn't an "Auto" exposure setting for the Hiks? Seems like there should be something, since there is a drop down where it says "Manual", but nothing in the drop down list other than Manual.

It's implicit.
The exposure setting configuration isn't to set a fixed value - it's to set a slowest value. The firmware will automatically reduce the exposure time as needed.

Ah, the Dahuas are fixed unless you adjust another setting.

But they also have an Auto exposure setting in general which can be useful for a quick set up.

Guys ... anyone running this camera in Blue Iris? I've been struggling to maintain a respectable CPU usage. I just did a test on this camera vs my Dahua 5442 with the same settings in each camera (6144, constant, and at 4MP with 15FPS).

With only the Hikvision on my BI instance, BI consumes 9% CPU.

With only the Dahua, it only consumes 2.5%.

As you can imagine, times X cameras that adds up fast for Hikvisions.

Can any of you check what your BI consumption is for your ColorVu?

Wondering if I should revert to an earlier firmware and check the impact. Is this firmware the right one for this camera?

Hi guys, what’s the latest with the LED triggered events?
Is there a new firmware for this or do we need to downgrade to the older firmware that has that capability?

If anyone wants to test...this firmware apparently supports led on events.

Link is at the bottom of the page (under downloads).

Thank You!

I tried this firmware few days ago and it worked great with turning the LED lights on intrusion events.

Dose the firmware just flash the light or does it stay on for a set time?
