Russia started this war .. and the evidence of Russian terror attacks is 100% clearly documented .. none of this needed to happen .. at this point, Russia deserves any pay back .. and thus many of us are OK at this point if as many Russian Civilians will die as have Ukrainians .. an eye for an eye .. I no longer have concerns for Russians who are for this war .. prior to this war, I was ok with Russia keeping the 2014 territories .. no longer do I feel that way.
I want to see Ukraine recapture those areas now .. and Russia does need to pay for the damages it has created ..

Setting aside the obvious question of truth atrocities such as these are to be condemned. They have unfortunately increased in numbers and intensity from Russia invaded and pursued its agenda of ethnic cleansing.

There are plenty of people getting killed now. It is very difficult to ascertain numbers but from Russia invaded there might be 50,000 Russians troops killed, there might be 50,000 Ukrainian troops killed, there might be 50,000 civilians killed. There might be another 50,000 killed next week and the week after that another 50,000. You are justifying mass slaughter when a political solution will be the best way to ensure some sort of peace and protect the lives you say are in danger.

My point is that you said that people living there will be killed if control returns back to Ukraine BUT, I'm saying that had the Russians not invaded in the first place then your concern would never come to reality. As a result of the Russian invasion, people who would not normally be targeted for death will now be killed. This issue was created as a result of the invasion.
My hope is that all Russians and Ukrainians can live a peaceful life without fear of being killed by one another. Russia had no business invading Ukraine. We've seen dictators in the past history who have invaded countries just to remain relevant. Putin is on his way out of power and is probably suffering mental illness just as Hitler had become a mental headcase. When Putin is gone I hope that the Russian people have a voice to choose who Russians want to lead them.
