Russia started this war .. and the evidence of Russian terror attacks is 100% clearly documented .. none of this needed to happen .. at this point, Russia deserves any pay back .. and thus many of us are OK at this point if as many Russian Civilians will die as have Ukrainians .. an eye for an eye .. I no longer have concerns for Russians who are for this war .. prior to this war, I was ok with Russia keeping the 2014 territories .. no longer do I feel that way.

I want to see Ukraine recapture those areas now .. and Russia does need to pay for the damages it has created ..

War crimes by undisciplined Russians who don't want to be in Ukraine. Because the Russian army lacks moral and discipline it goes a long way towards understanding why they are losing in the battlefield. Setting aside the obvious question of truth atrocities such as these are to be condemned. They have unfortunately increased in numbers and intensity from Russia invaded and pursued its agenda of ethnic cleansing.

There are plenty of people getting killed now. It is very difficult to ascertain numbers but from Russia invaded there might be 50,000 Russians troops killed, there might be 50,000 Ukrainian troops killed, there might be 50,000 civilians killed. There might be another 50,000 killed next week and the week after that another 50,000. You are justifying mass slaughter when a political solution will be the best way to ensure some sort of peace and protect the lives you say are in danger.

I'm not ignoring you. Probably just a miscommunication. My point is that you said that people living there will be killed if control returns back to Ukraine BUT, I'm saying that had the Russians not invaded in the first place then your concern would never come to reality. As a result of the Russian invasion, people who would not normally be targeted for death will now be killed. This issue was created as a result of the invasion.

My hope is that all Russians and Ukrainians can live a peaceful life without fear of being killed by one another. Russia had no business invading Ukraine. We've seen dictators in the past history who have invaded countries just to remain relevant. Putin is on his way out of power and is probably suffering mental illness just as Hitler had become a mental headcase. When Putin is gone I hope that the Russian people have a voice to choose who Russians want to lead them. I don't feel that the Russian people agreed by majority that Putin should control Russia and enrich himself with billions of dollars/rubles to make himself one of the richest men in the world at the expense of the Russian people. Corruption is corruption. We have this same dilemma in the western world. Unfortunately, it's a part of the human condition and all we can to is try to fight this evil. Don't think for one moment that most people in this country agree with Biden or the woke leftist/communist/socialist in the USA. People in our country were stupid to continue to believe the lies of the left and did not research for themselves before voting for Biden and all his cronies.

Is this not somehow similar to the story of Germans having to flee or being forced out of Königsberg so that Russia can create the enclave of Kaliningrad?

Russia had no issues forcibly moving German speaking people to Germany in 1946–1949.

If the US had not intervened, none of this would have happened. Now, only according to Elon Musk's plan, it is possible to stop killing people. The undermining of the gas pipeline and the bridge cannot stop anyone. Why do this? The Russians are motivated to fight back against the United States. We don't hate Ukrainians. There is a misunderstanding - how they allowed the United States to do this to themselves. Let me remind you - US laboratories, a large army, propaganda against Russia, military instructors, provocations on the border with Russia. Putin is perfectly healthy compared to Biden. Who would you like to see as President of Russia? A US puppet? Someone like Yeltsin. Putin has really done a lot for Russia and his support among the population is huge. There are some questions, but it doesn't happen perfectly.
