[Help] - Cannot use SMTP on my HFW5442T-ASE (Loryta IPC-B5442T-ASE) but can use on my NVR...

@MikeyTech8, I think it may make sense to try a different firmware on the camera. Maybe @EMPIRETECANDY can respond with what the latest is. @looney2ns , can you confirm what firmware you have on your camera and if the emails are working via the NVR? I don't have that specific camera, but if...

@MikeyTech8, if the emails are going out from the NVR (I'm assuming they are being received), I would factory reset the cameras and start from the beginning.

That is the camera most use, but it's both an art and science to get it to work. Your better off asking in the LPR section of the forum

That's one way only. Into the cameras, but not out of the NVR. Either way, it doesn't fix his issue as the NVR should be sending the emails, not the camera. It's three easy steps: 1. Set SMTP up on the NVR, NOT the cameras 2. Configure IVS on the cameras 3. Click "Send Email" on each IVS you...

[Help] - Cannot use SMTP on my HFW5442T-ASE (Loryta IPC-B5442T-ASE) but can use on my NVR...

@MikeyTech8 The emails are sent from the NVR in your setup. If the test message from the NVR is failing, you need to solve that first. I'm starting to suspect your ISP is causing you some issues. Maybe they are blocking the SMTP ports without your knowledge. Or your firewall is preventing...

Sorry for the delayed response. I was traveling through @bigredfish's state. I use Google mail, but try changing yahoo to TLS and port 587 on the NVR. You may also need to edit your Yahoo settings to use "Less Secure" connections. Most of us create an email account just for the security...

No way to reset SV3C cam?

Can't you just "shutdown" all your other devices temporarily, readjust the router IP range, fix the camera, reset the router back, and restart all the devices? If you are worried about IP addresses changing on your devices, just set them to static IP address in the router using the MAC address...

Here is what I have: On my cameras, I have the smtp information set to default and each "IVS" (under event) has both "Send Email" and "Snapshot" checked. On the NVR, for each channel and each IVS, I have "Send Email" checked. v4 software has it under AI, and then parameters. (This should be...

For normal users, they can't. :) I know of several ways to do it with the NVR, but it takes a lot of network knowledge to do it. Dahua NVR's don't have virtual hosts.

What IP address does your computer/laptop have? (probably 192.168.x.x) Login to the NVR and what IP address does each of the cameras have? help me choose a replacement for axis 1054

I have the HDBW-4231, but I don't need the motion detection on both channels, so it works fine for my purposes. I linked to the review of that camera. If you don't need MD (which it would probably be going off a bit too much in that environment), it may work.

help me choose a replacement for axis 1054

I stand a bit corrected. It won't dewarp in live view, but it will in playback mode. SmartPSS will do it. At a minimum, you should have 2 cameras on either side looking down the length. The camera should be lower as well. Maybe @mat200 has a recommended camera for you.

help me choose a replacement for axis 1054

What does it look like if you force it to stay in B/W? Beyond that, that probably isn't the best camera for the application. Maybe something like the Dahua IPC-EW5531-AS 5MP Fisheye Camera as you are already using BI

How do I get clearer picture of movement?

You will want your shutter speed higher, not lower. 1/30 is lower. Try 1/150 or 1/200 whatever setting you have. Keep in mind, the bigger the denominator, the more light you will need.
  25. U

How do I get clearer picture of movement?

You will need to adjust shutter speed higher, gain, etc. or add more light. It's an art. That's probably not the best night time camera (sensor is 1/2.9), so you will be fighting that. <note: I don't own any HIK products, so this answer is generic>

    Moisture in Dahua IPC-HDW2231R-ZS

You will need to take it down, open it up in a dry (low humidity) environment and get it dried out. There should be a packet or two of desiccant inside and they may need to be replaced. Need recommendation for $100 camera

HDW2231 is not a dome. See post #2 & #4. But it doesn't matter what we think. We really have no financial interest in what cameras we recommend, so just buy what you think is best for you.

    Need recommendation for $100 camera

TL;DR - Buy a Dahua 2231 or Hik equivalent and only cry once. You will eventually end up buying something in that price range once you realize the others are not good. Buy 1 good camera and locate it properly and it will be better than 2 bad cameras put together.
