Blue Iris Tools - Weather Overlay, Watchdog & more!

Blue Iris Tools - Weather Overlay, Watchdog & more! 1.6.0

Not to my knowledge. Hate to request but need to blank values of wx when errors occur. I donned gloves n a hat not knowing it was 40 outside because inet stopped.

That's a thought...However, I have been displaying the last update value on mine which accomplishes the same result. Do you do this?

Don't think so. When I restarted my PC and forgot to run Blue Iris Tools, the weather info didn't update anymore. Took me like 5 hours before I noticed :D

BIT must be running for the weather updates to work.

----
Blue Iris Tools v1.1.5 will be released soon which finally supports multiple locations for weather updates, show IP as a macro, Blue Iris Tools Remote & more.

If it runs and if it does not get an update, the values saved into macro text stay "frozen". I did add the time updated to check it, however. Thanks. Im ALWAYS using it.

Sorry for being a dummy but how do you get the overlay to show in BI and how do you set which cam it shoes on. Thanks.

I installed the new update and I'm having one issue. When I go to OPTIONS > BACKUP > BACKUP BLUE IRIS TOOLS SETTINGS it opens the C:\Program Files (x86)\Blue Iris Tools\backup folder and when I click the "Backup BIT Settings" button, I get an error #53 File Not Found. I tried saving to My Docs and same issue. It's like BIT is looking for a previous file.

Thank you, I think I know the issue. There are more files being backed up....I sent you a PM w/ an exe to try out, please LMK if that works.

Thanks Mike. It worked and probably will for most, but I had one minor issue that may be unique to my install. I had to set the User Account Control Settings (Win 10 64 bit) to OFF or NEVER NOTIFY. Otherwise, when WIn 10 started, it would sit at the prompt to allow Blue Iris Tools to start. I think this is unique to me because I could never get BIT v1.1.4 to start without the UAC prompt previously and had to utilize NSSM (the Non-Sucking Service Manager) to get BIT to start as a service and thus, not have the UAC prompt to allow BIT to start. But I tested the backup function and it works now with no errors. So I think this will work for 99% of the users.

Mike, great tools, and thank you for doing this.
Would you consider adding a BI reg backup function for the entire BI reg key: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Perspective Software
I regularly test and change various settings for my 12 cams to try out new/better triggers or features and it would be nice to revert to a backup of this entire tree.
The "backup" feature in BI has failed me a few times already because it backup (overlays prev backup) each time you launch BI so you really have to be mindful, plus you always have to enter the reg key if you do restore from that backup.
Anyway, I'd appreciate it if you consider this of value and add this functionality at some point.
