Getting comfortable
Do we know who put this up and have reason to believe it is official vs what we get from Andy?
I don't know. But I know this source longer then Andy. Until now i did not have any doubts.

Well that is good to know, I am relatively new to all of this and am leery of tampered/infected firmware. If you have had good luck with this source that says a lot. You are running this cam firmware with no issue? I am on NTSC now but am curious to try - as I understand it the only real difference (if I run h.265 on main stream to hit 30FPS) is that my secondary stream resolutions are different and perhaps sub-30FPS. I will in the future be outputting to some HDMI monitors in the house, are you aware of if PAL signals will prove a problem for this (I imagine not)?I don't know. Do the hard drives come with this? If not, where is the best place to purchase? Thx in advance for the reply.Present the Dahua Pro NVR 2 Disk 16CH 16PoE+ 4KS2 (5216-16P-4KS2)

Initial Impressions: I'm directly comparing this to my experience w/a 4216-4K.. I have 10 Channels of 2MP-4MP cameras on H264 & H265 connected via external PoE, I will not be using any of the internal PoE ports on this.
I applied the firmware from this page as instructed and got English/Spanish/French w/NTSC: USA/NVR/Pro/DHI NVR52A16 16P 4KS2 - Dahua Wiki
- Built in Power Supply and Chassis Fan (Not Silent)
- Much Faster Response time searching recordings w/Dahua Clients
- Much Snappier interfaces, responds very well compared to the lite model.
- Fewer GPIO Ports, but I was not utilizing all of them on the Lite.
- Still lacks IVS setup on WebUI for some dumb reason, its enabled on OSD and SmartPSS.. OSD Gives you more options.

2 SATA III Ports, up to 8TB capacity for each HDDThanks! It looks like there is room for 2 HD's. Should I get 2? If so, how big? Plan on around 6-8 cameras.
For reference, I have a single 4TB and get 6 days with 6 cameras at max bitrate. Thanks! It looks like there is room for 2 HD's. Should I get 2? If so, how big? Plan on around 6-8 cameras.

No issues with a 10TBYou were able to use 10TB? I thought that the max was 8TB per bay.
@nayr has also used more than the "max"
Pretty sure he has a 10 and 4 or maybe 10 and 6.
I've only got a single 4TB WD Purple.
5 cams, I get maybe 10 days?
