By coincidence stumbled across this community, really interesting info!
We recently moved in a new house, and was looking for some camera's to monitor the (small) driveway as well as the backyard.
Have been browsing AliExpress for quite some time, but could not decide what to do.
And now I feel very lucky I didn't, as I learned that the (really) cheap Dahua models seem to have hacked (or at least modified) firmware...
Not sure if this is the right forum-section for these questions, but here goes.
Just to know, I have CAT-cables running to my garage from a POE-switch (Ubiquiti) in the house.
Driveway
The driveway is shared with my neighbours, but would like a camera to understand if anyone is/was on my part of the driveway.
Also, because our frontdoor is located at this driveway it would be interesting to understand whether people actually were at my door.
Here I was looking for a "regular" cam, nothing too fancy (no PTZ).
I would like to mount the cam directly to the area highlighted with the blue rectangle (as I can still go through the brickwall there easily).
The idea is to have a cam which does not stand out of the surrounding, so no big mounts and stuff.
(I could paint the housing black/brown to match the brick wall)
Backyard
As in the back of the house I have a sliding door (which might not be the most secure solution), I was also looking for a cam there.
The backyard ends up in a small stream and behind that there is a park, children playing, people having a walk, etc.
For this part I was looking for a cam which has PTZ and some basic zoom.
So far, I was thinking of
