New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

so know new holes in the wall for the screws?
Yes, the new mounting plate has screw holes that are slightly closer together. However I'm mounting it on my door's wooden trim, so it was easy to use a new hole. The camera still covers all of the holes (old and new) although putting a dab of caulk on them is probably best to prevent water intrusion.

But the camera itself is a direct swap with the old camera. You don't have to change the power converter at the chimes or anything like that.

Hey guys, Blue Iris now supports Deepstack AI (Facial Rec.) natively with their 5.4 update...

I have always wanted to try it, now you don't need the tools...

Does anyone know of a wireless chime that will work with Nellys NSC-DB2?
My current situation is I'm running a power supply adapter () to power the camera, which only has enough juice to power the doorbell and not a chime. I'm thinking of a solution that detects the ONIVF doorbell event (if that's published)
or a voltage detector which in-turn publishes some event (might be over complex )
or rewiring the internal speaker and move it inside

But I have not seen it available in the US yet...

I read it has different mounts...If you have any issues/questions you can check out these Threads:

Got my DB1C installed earlier today and it has resolved my BI connection issues (for now anyways). Overall happy with it thus far.

Let us know how the AI works compared to PIR...

Still Zero complaints with our DB, the notifications are still within a second and lately the phone button push calling as been spot on, 2-3 seconds max. Just had a delivery guy push our DB button today and both my wife and my phone starting ringing within 1 to 2 seconds.

Been playing with Deepstack in BI a little bit, if you have the latest version of BI I would try it out. One clip, I drove up and it detected my car and myself (car, person) no problem, it puts an icon of each in the Alerts. With my Nvidia 970 video card I decided to run the GPU version of Deepstack, so far no effect on the CPU, which is what I wanted...this may change as I add cameras though, right now just playing with the DB Cam. Deepstack takes a zoomed in snapshot .jpg of the person, this is where the DB camera is lacking, it is quite blurry, you can make out the person if you know the person...It may be my lens too though, been noticing a blur/film on my pics, not sure if it is my eyes or the DB :) I have not tried to read any package labels anymore, I remember I use to be able to zoom in and read some when I first got the DB...

I'm also exclusively using Deepstack via BI. It has really cut down on all the false alerts (bugs & spiderwebs) I was previously getting! I'm at over 6 hours of runtime with the DBC1 and have zero no signal logs in BI! I was getting them every 3-10 minutes before.

On another note, ordered me a transformer and plan on messing around with my DB1 to see if the issues are firmware related or something. Probably going to put the original EZVIZ firmware back on it.

Does anyone run their DB with an SD card? I had the LTS model and now the Hik model and both give / gave me the same issue with the SD card in the screenshot
The DB will randomly stop saving footage to the SD card and complain the SD card is not initialized. I

For whatever reason, it takes what seems like a dozen attempts to initialized the SD card before it's formatted in the DB.

I fear the SD card might be dying... Screenshot_20210427-201718.jpg

Just curious, did you ever try this?

From our NETWORKING TIPS in our 101:
⦁ In your Firewall settings, allow ICMP from the Doorbell to your router, otherwise the Doorbell will disconnect/reconnect the WiFi - ronin1, ronin1 - alexdelprete, alecdelprete-ronin1 AND/OR if your RTSP stream drops every 3 or so minutes - cba123

So Chiming in here, I have/most of us have, experienced this with our DBs. I have had the same SD-Card for almost 2 years now. I was getting those Initialize messages about every 6 months, found the SD-Card to be Full. At first I would pull the card and format them in my PC then reinitialize them in the App. Then I found I can format them in Hikvision's Batch Config. Tool without having to pull the card. (Not sure why that format worked but it did not work in the App). Anyway, one more thing to try which has worked for me and others here, remove power from your Doorbell (DB), then power it back on, after doing so I have checked the App and, TaDa, the SD-Card shows back available...

When you get the card back working, here are a few tips from our DOORBELL101...

ACCESS VIDEO(s) ON SD-CARD:
⦁ Recommended Micro SD Card; Get a Video Rated Card, V30 works great...
SanDisk 128GB Extreme MicroSDXC
⦁ In iVMS-4200 or Batch Config. Tool, under Device Management/Storage/File you can set a Date/Time Range and Download Video File(s)
⦁ There is a Share Option in the Mobile Apps that allows you to send recorded video to another source - Pilot04

Most of us just use the SD-Card as a Backup...Since a lot of us are recording our video feeds (Either Motion recordings or 24/7 recordings) to a NVR, NAS, ZoneMinder, etc. or Blue Iris (Which I use)...

Do any of you with Nelly’s flavor db have WDR settings available? I’m not seeing it and I know that I had it previously in Batch Tool.

Have you turned on BTC? If so, WDR will no longer be available...

⦁ If you are having problems with Batch Config Tool version 3.0.3.8 crashing, download version 3.0.2.6 for fix - just2bad

Looks like 3.0.2.6 is now a broken link...

I attached 3.0.2.6 for anyone how wants it, this is the version i am still running...

Looks like they are up to 3.1.2.2 now...

I did to no avail. I actually confirmed I wasn't losing WiFi connection. The issue had something to do with the video stream / connection between BI itself. I've seen several references to this issue on the forums so when I get my plug-in transformer in the next day or two, I'm going to see if I can't troubleshoot the DB1 further. For now, I'm up and running with the DB1C and things are working perfectly!

Update on my EZVIZ DB1 and BI connection issues. I got me a 12V 2A transformer plug-in transformer on Amazon and tried testing the doorbell before I made any firmware related changes. I still experienced constant disconnects in BI. Thus I went from Hikivision firmware build 200321 to EZVIZ build 200904 and reset my doorbell to factory defaults. I then manually changed all of my settings back to where I originally had them on the Hikivision build in the batch configuration tool. This appears to have fixed my BI connection issues so I believe there was either an issue with the Hikivision firmware or I had corrupted my installation somehow.

I've got the DB1C installed and running now at my door. I will probably keep it since I like the overall design, it has slightly better picture quality and supports H.265 among other things. ONVIF support is not important to me.

As far as my DB1 goes, I'm debating on either repurposing it, keep it as a backup or try to sell it.
