Pandemic threat? Anyone else concerned?

US Gov need do some good measures to help people anti the virus , this is the best way to stop the panic. The panic can't be eased if just say the virus not such horrible, i think people will have more panic, like the stock market doing now. I still trust US still can conrol this virus well easily if real do something.

They do lead lead in cable news ratings night after night for years, so there are followers.
They've been ridiculed in the past for leaving a bad taste, based on what known figures in the past have said, but nothing is perfect

They dont just lead, the demolish. For example in the week of Feb 3 - feb 9 they had 4.4 million viewers. MSNBC had 1.6. CNN 1.1.
I've noticed that too, as Q already said, anchors / reporters will speak as to what suits their agenda. In a time of crisis like this pandemic, what would you say is the appropriate way to work with the information presented on live broadcasts? How should viewers filter out facts vs. opinions? I got to say that Fox has done a pretty good job in Q&A sessions in recent years.

Simple, there are news anchors and there are opinion hosts. Tucker doesnt pretend to be a news anchor.

Stock market panic is very real.. people have looked at the economic impact in China, and having to do the same measures throughout the entire world = recession.
This is the reality. The disruption in the supply chains, the services ( coffee shops, restaurants, .. ), commodity consumption,...
There's also much more, and that get's into loans and bonds. Right now all countries are scrambling to stabilize it - but it will be painful, someone will have to pay for the measures taken.
Example:
Banks give you a loan to buy a house, each month you must pay it. If you lose your income stream.. then in many parts of the USA ( like in HK or parts of China ) which has expensive properties you need all of your income to handle that payment and other expenses. So then the Bank will want to sell your house if you can not pay.
I can see now why Q was frustrated by that video. As you mentioned, Tucker is an opinion host. Now, I don't watch every news outlet very often and when I do its through various news outlets (and primetime channels) via YouTube like PBS's Newshour and the Associated Press, and the Nightly News. I'm more into latest development via CDC, WHO, NIH websites, and the stats.

Obviously, the coronavirus story changes by the moment. But here is a snapshot in time of coronavirus deaths, as reported by CDC and in news reports.
The majority of U.S. deaths to date (31 of 40) have occurred among the elderly, sick in Washington State nursing homes or long term care facilities.
A majority of the Washington State deaths (27 of 31) occurred in King County.
A majority of the King County deaths in Washington State (22 of 31) occurred at the same elderly nursing facility in Kirkland. This large cluster in one facility is under investigation.
There have also been three deaths in Snohmish County, and one in Grant County (Washington State).

I don't know if this has been posted before. The numbers are not correct because they have not been testing. The CDC has only done 77 tests in the last week. The individual states have only done on average 100 each in the last week. Total failure as far as testing goes. Too much denial and inept management by those appointed to departments responsible for protecting Americans.
My wife was admitted by our GP under COVID-19 protocol. Pneumonia all lobes, fever and dry cough. She was patient zero for this hospital and news of her being admitted spread through the hospital like wildfire. They were freaked out. She works at an international airport. She was discharged and is recovering at home. She could not get tested. The Dr., not our GP, refused to test her because she had not been overseas. She had severe chills a couple days before being admitted. On the day she was admitted I also had severe chills for about twelve hours and a 100-101 fever for two days. The worst chills I have ever had. I am 65. A headache ever since. Do we have it? Who knows. Can we infect others if we have it? Again an unknown.
This is why the infection rate is going to explode and overwhelm the system. Ignoring the problem early on and not slowing it down will have deadly consequences. We have self isolated but I am sure many out there will not. When the system gets overloaded doctors will have to decide who will live and who die. These decisions are now being made in Italy. We are a week to ten days behind them. Be safe out there.

I never get headaches, but I've had one for the past 2-weeks. Runny nose for 2-weeks also. Congestion is getting worse not terrible but it's increasing. Started sneezing yesterday. Inside for the past 7-days, home from work for the past 5-days. I don't feel terrible but something's wrong...I feel sick. I've stayed home out of concern that I may have the ConJoboVirus and, if I do, I was worried that I may spread it to others...particularly folks I've worked with for decades, one of whom has Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder (COPD). If she gets sick she's gonna be in trouble. But fuQit: the President says there is nothing to worry about...and -- apparently -- there's isn't because I don't warrant testing...so I'm going out shopping at Costco today. I'll be certain to post a Toilet Paper Advisory Alert (TPA) when I get there fellas.
