Hi, just registered after finding the site while I was looking to see if Reolink cameras would work with another make of NVR-I have a RLN8-410 and a RLN16-410 that are causing me problems (not seeing all cameras). All cables (POE) have been replaced and tested, double checked and both NVR fail...

Newb with Questions About Reolink Cameras

Thanks for the reply. For those of us that just want to use cat6, poe switch, micro SD's and an ios app, can you recommend a good alternative to Reolink? As for not using dome cams outdoors, do they leak? Does the clear dome degrade the optics over time?

Newb with Questions About Reolink Cameras

With the exception of Reolinks doorbell cam, Reolink should be avoided like the plague. Avoid using Dome cameras outdoors, the dome will cause all sorts of problems.

I finished my LPR set-up after 10 months of testing and proof of concept.

Mostly likely you did not need a bunch of 4k and 8k cams set on high bandwidth usage bogging down the system with a unbalanced write / playback load. My buddy has a reolink house and it's all ezpz how it works but the cameras have limitations. I had a Condo property...I made the identification...

I need recommendation for good wifi cameras for indoor and outdoor (and potentially door bell, door lock, flood lights, and garage door opener).

I started off my journey with Ring and Wyze and will never go back (cloud only, no local options when I had them, wouldn't work if internet was down, subscription costs, etc.) Next step was going local storage and no subscriptions (still using WIFI but now learning about POE). I bought...

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

So I am using the WiFi version (Black), using the power from the existing Doorbell Transformer has had no problems. The WiFi reception has been good, better than the Hivision DB I had for 3 years. My EAP660 Access Point is presently in a bedroom/office on the opposite side of the house where...

New to CCTV - Can you give me an honest opinion on my plan please ?

I guess that is one of the main problems with the Reolink cameras then. Not good really I suppose as lowlight is more often than not when, shall we say most illegal activity would be taking place. Especially where I live as I'm on a small cul-de-sac with only 8 bungalows on it and there's 100%...

    Frame Bottleneck

I woke up yesterday AM to find all my cameras throwing the above error. After rebooting/restarting would not solve the problem, I started disabling each camera one at the time. It appear that one and only one is causing this problem. Once problems started with this camera all cameras eventually...

    Alternative to blue iris

I have problems with my cheap cameras... Even the "from the datasheet" supports person detection, this seams don't working. I have a lot of event error... And the camera doesn't have onvif option... Reading on the web, is seams an anonymous access not permitted (and I don't understand why it's...

    Doorbell camera

OK some more info. :) @camdensnyder Yes, I use a mechanical bell (Honeywell Home D117) with the ChimeKit included with the Imou DB61i. The Imou DB61i is powered by a normal 24V bell transformer. I bought the Imou DB61i via Aliexpress for €72. @ludshed I have around 40 WiFi clients here, not...

Do you have it hooked to some type of chime? Where did you purchase yours at?

    Doorbell camera

A note: The Reolink Doorbell Wifi is known for having/delivering a fairly unstable connection. I have very good WiFi here and have previously used an Amcrest AD110. Then I tested the Reolink Doorbell Wifi extensively and it kept having timeouts - regardless of the firmware version. The Reolink...

Imou DB61i - is it Dahua? Does it support ONVIF?

First of all: The most important thing with a WiFi video doorbell is of course that there is a good WiFi signal outside the front door. I use an Asus XT8 Mesh system here in the house and one of its mesh clients is on the ground floor in the hallway and only about 5 meters from the front door...

DH-DB6I Doorbell warning, DO NOT UPGRADE FIRMWARE!

Yes I agree with you. I just hope that the Imou DB61i doesn't get the same problem with the defective (ballooning) battery as quickly as the identical Amcrest AD410 or the Lorex. https://amcrest.com/forum/amcrest-smart-home-f32/ad410-chime-kit-replacement-t16622-s20.html#p45109 Since...

Having trouble getting FTP to work on Hikvision

I have all the permissions allowed for this user account and confirmed that even my reolink cameras could upload (those 3 PTZ text files). Their support is useless and tells me a contradicting statement that FTP and SMB/CIFS is not supported on third party NAS devices, while showing me a guide...

    Accelerating My Move from Reolink

So far, I have replaced two out of ten of my Reolink outside camera with the EmpireTech IPC-T54IR-ZE-S3 model with the plan to replace all off them when they either failed or gave me more trouble than what they were worth. Using them within BI is more trouble than they are worth. I could...

Having trouble getting FTP to work on Hikvision

I have two iDS-2CD7A46G0/P-IZHSY LPR cameras from Hikvision that I need to have FTP setup on for license plate snapshots. I have an FTP server setup on the NAS (synology ds923) and was able to connect to it via a FTP client running on my phone. I was also able to have my shitty reolink...

    PC/NVR for multiple cameras?

Hi @TechieNI Reolink and Wyze cameras .. if you can get both to produce an RTSP stream, then I would look for a 3rd party VMS on an PC solution .. note, not all Reolink cameras are able to produce a proper RTSP stream for 3rd party VMS solutions .. so double check the Reolink camera models...

BI misses OnVif events from ReoLink

It is a known fact that Reolink doesn't play well with BI. Plus they don't completely follow the ONVIF standard. There are videos here of someone pulling their car into the garage and the reolink camera completely missed it. This was a screenshot of a member here where they had set Reolink...

New Reolink Wired POE Doorbell Cam ?

I really want to help those with their WiFi issues, some say it is only the DB that gives them problems. I have been watching this for years, when I hear they have their AP right next to the DB and still have issues I just am at a lost, as they are. RF Interference? Bad DB? I don't know, I...

Dahua POA cctv cameras in Reolink POE nvr

You could encounter problems triggering recordings based on IVS rules (line crossing, object detection, person detection). It would trigger on basic motion but IVS is a gamble. Better to add the doorbell to the Dahua NVR. It's also possible Reolink's person detection won't trigger the Dahua...

Send Pushover notifications with pictures and hyperlinks

Or get better cameras LOL. Blue Iris is great and works with many different camera brands, but there are some that force people into their own system like Ring, Nest, Arlo, Blink, etc. and then some like Reolink that they kinda work outside of their platform, but not really. When push comes to...

Send Pushover notifications with pictures and hyperlinks

The issue is Reolinks will change it to whatever TF they want all in the effort of producing a nice bright static image. We have people here that Reolink with BI missed them pulling their car into their garage. Look at your Cameras Status page from BI that shows your KEY, similar to this...

Send Pushover notifications with pictures and hyperlinks

You are doing something wrong...the script works on all versions of BI... The help file updates notes explains why certain features and functions were moved around..its only mind numbing if you believe it was done arbitrarily.. Reolink cameras that have no control over the iframe interval in...

New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

I would look into moving on to the ReoLink DB. Alot of users here have. https://ipcamtalk.com/threads/new-reolink-wired-poe-doorbell-cam.66073/ Only advise I can say is try going back to a firmware that worked.

    Issue with two way talk

Hello, I'm in the process of looking for a better video doorbell for my house. I currently use a Google nest, but lately it's had lots of problems. Mainly that when someone rings the bell and I open the app, the video freezes and I can't talk to them or hear them. I thought the nest was just...

    Reolink Cameras

Yes @stoneyc please post an example of what you view as decent low light image and video captures with the reolink cameras you have. Definitely need to see a good moving suspect or subject in low light. So far Reolink cameras in general I have seen very poor low light image captures. I've...
