@Mike Any ideas on why my Options Tab/Watchdog Tab and Web Site Tab are greyed out? I tried running app as Admin on Windows Server 2019 but still not working.
Have encountered exact same issue with 1.6.0. Am only able to view the first tab. Also WS2019. What is resolution for this?

I have not seen this issue @miles267. I am interested in knowing whether the update backup thing works now. Since there haven't been any updates to BIT, I suppose it would only work if Ken changed where he saves the update files?

BIT 1.6.0 Weather Overlay tab is the only tab in BIT I can access. It is successfully updating weather at the specified internal. However I'm unable to click on Watchdog, Web Server Files or Options tab. Nothing happens.

Hi @Mike, I've just installed 1.60 on a new PC in my motorcoach for the first time. During install, I received the comctl32.dll access violation error. I ignored it (after shutting down everything else and attempting retry a few times). It appeared to install fine, and while it glitched (failed) to load the nearest weather station on the first couple attempts, it eventually began working as my home system does.

However, I noticed that BIT is using anywhere between 20 and 30% of the CPU (task manager / processes). I am running Windows 7 home on an older SFF i5 PC. BI 5 is up to date and working great.

I read the first post about the error-files.zip, but cannot find any link to those files.

Edited to add: After shutting down my BI5 service, I started BIT (watchdogs all turned off) and noticed that the total CPU was about 1%. I then started BI5, and all is working fine now - BIT doesn't even show up in the top screen of CPU users in the process tab of task manager. Something tripped it up, but it looks ok now. Sorry for false alarm.

ETA2: It's back up at 20%+

Was poking thru the Blue Iris Tools stuff, and wasn't able to find an addon or parser available for this quite yet. Did find a mention or two this past Jan '20 about it, but nothing too much there.

Are there any plans for BIT to support JSON decoding and parsing into associated files (completing nullifying the need for Wunderground API)? With Weewx's addon for MQTT, I can feed the data locally to a Linux package known as mosquitto. This is the outputted data when you subscribe to the topic:

Any thoughts on expanding the scope of BIT for the 2.0 release? I would love to see it manage the configuration and install/upgrades of stunnel of SSL connectivity to BI and it would be great to install/upgrade the DahuaSunriseSunset utility and any other tools that do the same for other vendor cameras. Those are two tools that are critical to my BI install and I always forget to keep them updated, specifically stunnel as that could be a big security risk.

You can use BIT's add-on system and create an add-on that does what you want. There is an event handler that you can use (#weather_get) which can trigger your own script (every x amount of minutes, as set in BIT). Check out the add-on wiki Blue Iris Tools Add-ons

I am planning on integrating Stunnel and a Proxy Server into BIT. I've been discussing it with @bp2008 and I'm over do on it, I've just been very busy lately, but I plan on devoting time to BIT soon.

It's available as @Chicken said there's a link on the top of the page. You can also click here.

Hi Mike, I did come across that, but will it be able to poll for new data less than once per minute (once every 15 seconds)? I've not attempted using decimals in place of minutes on BIT. Figured I'd ask before I dedicate a day to working with it all. :)

Right now BIT won't accept anything other than #'s in the textbox where you set the interval, so I would have to do something different there...which I can if you want

BIT still only allowing me to click on the Weather Overlay tab only. No other tabs can be selected. Look forward to an update that fixes this bug.

BIT is telling me there is an update, but when I click on the Change Log, I get this message:

Code:

This might be because the site uses outdated or unsafe TLS security settings. If this keeps happening, try contacting the website’s owner.
Try this:
Go back to the last page
Change settings
If I click on the Install Update, I get this:

I'm currently running version 1.6.0.

Thanks.
