post all your settings for the camera and BI, you are doing something wrong. It does work.

Ok, yes i get live video.. recordings are all in the form of snapshots

yes works fine using h.264

all recordings and triggers when set to h.265 show up as snapshots in the alerts.

makes no sense. Try reinstalling blue iris.

no, export the settings first and make sure you have the license key and deactivate.
test one camera with h.265 BEFORE restoring the exported settings.
