Dahua IP intercom: VTO3211D-P2 (new P & P4 ) door station - experience, review, firmware support?

I , dou you know how i can reset the VTO for factory , because my log in admin is blaklisted in the VTO and it impossible to connect on web interface whit any PC.

I try to rest with the front button , but only le password is reset, on the back side, i try 10-15second on button, 5 short time, but i never reset/
could you help me?

With this device, is it possible to get any output information :
- from the LAN wire, to know someone pushed a button
- from the analog wire ?

If I understand your questions correctly: your VTH (the touchpad screen) will ring and show video/audio when someone pushed a button, AND your phone/tablet will ring too, if configured. If you have the UTP version, no "analog wire" is used, but there are variants (eg VTO2000A-2) which uses 2-wire system. But that's to connect to a VTH screen as well.

Hi,
I don't have any VTH, just smartphones or tablets. And i would like to receive the information someone is "knocking at the door" in case i don't have my smartphone near me when I am inside the house.
I managed to install a push button to open the door from inside the house. (I've got two same cables going from the home to the door, one is the Ethernet PoE, the other is also an ethernet cable but it is used for the 12v for the lock and for opening with a physical button).
So, if I was able to take 2 wires to get the information back to a physical switch, i will manage to plug something giving the indication.
 
hello everyone has any idea how to connect the dahua vto3221d to the ftritzbox 7530 ????
I uploaded the firmware with sip on dahua but it didn't help

A Lot of issue with the VTO3211 :

- SD Card unreconized - No SD card (FAT or FAT32 or NTFS etc...)
- Unable to change language : only english
- unable to disable speech : "wait a moment...."
- Resolution 2 Mpx : Just 720P
- Unable to update firmware (hang at 50%)

A very bad product !!

From an old excel file, I found:

ciao a tutti sono riuscito a collegare il VTO3211D al fritz box 7530 usando il sip firmware V3.200.0012001.0.R su Dahua ATTENZIONE !!! una volta installato questo firmware non è più possibile cambiarlo !!!! Ora posso usare i telefoni wireless come estensione per rispondere ma non riesco a vedere l'immagine dell'interfono sulla fritzfon su cui sto lavorando

Hello everybody. I've managed to connect the VTO3211D to the Fritz!box 7530 using the sip firmware V3.200.0012001.0.R on Dahua. Warning, once you install this firmware, it is no longer possible to change it! I can now use wireless phones as an extension to answer, but I can't see the image of the intercom on the Fritz Phone. I'm still working on it.
 
Hello, I have one VTO3211D with 2 buttons and don't have any monitors. I can't make it work just for the phone.
Is anyone know a way to work just with the App and without a VTH?

You have 4 ways to do it

Use the Gdmss plus or lite app on your smartphone by enabling P2P from Dahua

Using a fritz modem and recording the VTO3211 d as an ip intercom (doorbell) but there seems to be a problem, when you answer you end the call on the intercom.

Changing the firmware on the Dahua with the amateur version with SIP server and recording above IP phones or the router (depending on what you have)
-------------------
Interposing an Asterisk type SIP server between router and intercom
-------------------

The problem is that if you change the firmware to the VTO with an original one they are problems and you never go back (that's what I did)

in my opinion the best thing is not to change the firmware and use the Gdmss app or interpose a SIP server in between.

In any case you are practicing SIP protocols and networks in general or it will be a bloodbath I took 2 weeks to make everything work and it is still not all ok :(

About one of the solution you suggested, i.e. interpose a SIP server, it's what I'd like to do. My project is to put an Asterix server on a raspberry and a fritzbox 3490 I own. I went from bad experience you can read in this forum since I've bricked my VTO 3211 trying to put another firmware in. The solution was to unbrick via serial uart interface. So I will never repeat this experience. Finally, is it possible to register on an asterix server the dauha VTO with original firmware and have access to all option with any tablet I want ?
 
I could not restore the original firmware, now I keep it, because I managed to do the configuration and..... go.

At the beginning of this 3d, you can read who did the same thing you want to do too. However the difficulties are not few, and it seems that you have to insert some command lines manually to avoid that the VTO closes the call. I do not go further in this explanation because I am a rookie, and I do not know how to do it, for this reason I have a different solution.

The VTO is like an IP phone, so you should be able to record it on any SIP server even with the original firmware.
The important thing is to make the correct configuration in the menu (Device manager) otherwise when you press the button the call is not forwarded correctly.

I had also tried to put the Asterisk server on the raspberry, but I couldn't connect the VTO because I didn't know Asterisk well and I was wrong about the configuration. Note: the menus you find on the VTO are different from those of Asterisk and different from Frit!Box this has sent me in big confusion

I advise you to use EyeBeam on a PC to configure Asterisk and then copy the configuration to the VTO, because every time you need to change parameters on the VTO you have to restart it! And that makes you waste a lot of time.

Hi to all,
Anyone here powered this VTO with POE. Mine did'nt switch on with a 24V POE injector. Really does need at least a 48V POE injector ?
