Dahua IP intercom: VTO3211D-P2 (new P & P4 ) door station - experience, review, firmware support?

...
in fact in you vidéo you have 3 VTH1550CH with old firmware, this firmware doesnt works with VTO3211, you need the last firmware for VTH1550CH or use VTH5211CH who use the good firmware.

...That almost sounds like that the VTH1550CH might not be 100% compatible with the new? VTO3211? Mhmhmhmhm... or is it just a matter of the firmware?

...
you can add with the interface or remote with Smart PSS

...so you can issue/deissue cards at the intercom or some Smart PSS !?

Thanks,
INT

VTH1550CH works 100% BUT with last firware of course.
for car you can add or delete remotly with smart PSS V2.0 if its you want say ?

Thanks for the clarification!
Smart PSS V2.0 is a software - correct?
What I mean to say that you can issue cards with only the intercom at hand.
So in a normal home setting there is no need for a software like Smart PSS V2.0 and a card reader etc.

Thanks,

yes smart PSS is dahua videosurveillance software, you can manage id card without intercom at hand.
by the way you can't add card with only intercom hahahah !

for firmware is the firmware V1.0.0 but with blue color interface video-intercom interface.jpg

Ups... that's not so good. Are there cards included with the intercom?
And I need to get thesoftware as well as some reader/writer device to actually administer the ID cards?
Really?

Hi @jemesecurise ,

thank you very much ... it looks pretty much straight forward - so I guess I can manage eventually.

Cheers,

Hi all,

Mifare ID Reader in VTO3211D-P2

another question - VTO3211D-P2 does have a mifare reader.
@jemesecurise - were there any chips / cards included?
If so, how many?
Any idea what kind of chips would be required for the reader?

Thanks,
INT

As i read, there’s nothing included. But Mifare is the most used standard at 15,xx MHz. For example you could use your credit card with rfid chip, or your German ID card

Hello, no cards in the package you must buy.
You can manage upto 200 id card, its mifare but only dahua card works after test, bécause mifare have few protocol

Yes most mifare exist and only one works with dahua

Hmm, that’s bad. Hopefully not the basic one which is easily cloneable with a nfc mobile phone

I am aware of different protocols and features of these cards to the extend to understand that they are not all made the same.
I would like to use cards/chips - that's why I am asking. But I could find nothing about the reader or the requirements.
