Now i have all the stuff: vto, 2 vth and switch. Before installing it I wanted to do a test to see if it worked properly. Can you tell me if after connecting and registering it on asterix you have to re-register again or not (because it keeps the settings)?

hello, i just got a vto3211 first gen. It has a potential free door unlock contact, but also an potential free alarm contact. I'd like to connect an external doorbell to this alarm contact. in the original firmware V1.0000 (pre SIP firmware) i saw an option to enable the alarm contact. BUt on the SIP firmware 4.3 (latest build) i dont see this option anywhere? Did they remove it in the sip firmwares? Can it be enabled somehow? Currently i'm using this doorbell without a VTH, so i need my house doorbell to ring. The doorbell is
pushing calls to my smartphone, but a real doorbell would be handy when i'm home...

I have upgrade the firmware from
V4.300.0000002.0.R to v4.400.0000000.3.r.20191019
The process end perfectly but the vto don't appear to configtool when restarted. Have I break the vto?

Sure, tried..... and bricked the VTO! A week of work to unbrick it with UART and TFTP.
Luckily there is a thread here that helps people to recover these devices, IPC or doorbells, it's the same.

They appears to be signed firmwares also, but I can't understand the source of these firmwares, original-genuine or not and why the guys that release them seem to be so happy.

I'm trying several things without success on my VTO 3211D P2, a bit discouraging

1/ Can't upgrade firmware
VDPconfig tells me I'm on V3.200.9999000.0.R 2018_04_21 (not sure if it's pre SIP or already SIP)

Tried to update with:
Customer_VTO3211D_Eng_P_32M_SIP_V3.200.10M7000.0.T.20181116.bin
General_VTO3211D_MultiLang_PN_SIP_V4.400.0000000.3.R.20191019.bin
General_VTO3211D_Eng_P_SIP_V4.300.0000000.4.R.20190306.bin
General_VTO3211D_Eng_P_32M_V1.000.0012000.0.R.20180509.bin
All get stuck at 50% with "fail to upgrade" message

Tried MCU update with General_VTO3-6-MCU_App_V1.001.0000000.0.R.191010.bin by selecting MCU instead of "main". Same fail to upgrade error

Tried with and without "clear config" tick in small window after clicking upgrade

Tried with configtool5.0 and configtool3.2, same problems ("send upgrade data error" for configtool 3.2)

Tried to change port from 37777 to 3800 (read that somewhere) but after changing in web service and reboot, it goes back to 37777

Tried "factory default" in VDPconfig, then initialize

Didn't try TFTP or Serial

What am I missing ?

Note: Going from PreSIP (V1.XX) firmware to SIP capable firmware (V4..)
This might include a step in between (--> 'transition' firmware). At least when you get stuck at the failing upgrade at 50% issue

I had to use something like Customer_VTO3211D_Eng_P_32M_SIP_V3.200.10M7000.0.T.20181116.bin going from V1, V3X to V4.3.
I attached it to this posting (08/2020).
But be aware use at your own risk only. No guarantees.

He was not able to provide it to me due to region restriction.

Ciao lo hai fatto funzionare su centralino come un interno? Io ci sto provando con un centralino Yestar me non ne sono venuto a capo. Mi sapresti dare dei consigli su come fare o documentazione da poter seguire? Grazie Lorenzo

Beh, com app nativa la usi così com'è e basta.
Utilizzando voip/sip il vto può fare sia da server lui stesso, quindi i vari client VoIP/sip quindi telefoni, tablet, smartphone sono "connessi" a lui che gestisce tutte le chiamate tra i vari interni (come un centralino telefonico x intenderci) e la chiamata che ti arriva dal citofono alla pressione del tasto é praticamente un interno del centralino che chiama un altro interno.

Può funzionare come client voip/sip quindi avrai un server voip/sip esterno (io utilizzo freepbx ma puoi utilizzare altro) e così il VTO può chiamare i vari interni come prima ma in piu il server voip/sip mi gestisce anche la linea telefonica (se mi chiami sul mio tel fisso digiterai poi il numero dell'interno desiderato e la chiamata verrà deviata all'interno desiderato)

home assistant non mi sembra gestisca videochiamate.
Può farti da client voip ma può farlo un qualsiasi dispositivo android senza installare nulla (vai su impostazioni tel e configuri un account SIP ).

Il telefono SIP Voip l'ho messo dai miei perche il tablet non riescono ad utilizzarlo. Quindi riceveranno solo chiamata audio (come un normale citofono) e possono aprire con combinazione di tasti configurata sul VTO.... Ed in più con lo stesso apparato ricevono e chiamano con il numero telefonico di casa e possono chiamare gli altri interni.

Ho spiegato in maniera semplice per farti capire ed anche perché non sono del settore quindi sicuramente avrò sbagliato qualche termine tecnico e sicuramente si potrà fare molto di più con un server pbx ma x me questo è sufficente x ora.

Calcola con il VTO hai possibilità di vedere il flusso video+audio (rtsp) come fosse una ipcam.

Hai il registro delle chiamate e delle aperture fatte e da chi (con quale card e quale interno)

Puoi aprire il cancello tramite url cgi, quindi puoi configurare uno switch virtuale su home assistant per farti aprire senza installare sonoff/shelly o switch fisici

Puoi mettere deviazione di chiamata e farti chiamare sul tel quando sei fuori casa (va configurato il client, il modem/router ed il tel)

Credo che si possa fare molto altro ma x me questo x me è sufficiente
