    HFW5241E-Z12E-S2 install in Blue IRIS

Ok great thank you very much, that seems to have corrected the problem. No more Events: subscription 8000ffff and zoom function has returned. I have it setup to get plates leaving the driveway, a work in progress.... I would like to add that I did use the search function first before posting...

100% DeepStack timeouts after BI update (including reverting to earlier versions)

Yup did all the same steps, stop start BI stop start windows, stop start DS, separately and all three in order etc. Revert to previous working version then back to latest again, pick one in between there try that. When I do update, I do not go beyond the critical/highly stable release. Results...

100% DeepStack timeouts after BI update (including reverting to earlier versions)

Suffered the same thing "AI timeout" after updating. I tried what you did = I deleted all the redis temporary dump.rdb files, and so far seems to have corrected the problem. I did not reinstall DeepStack, I only removed the dump.rdd file and then restarted BI. (I saved the file so I could...

    HFW2231T-ZS Base does not turn

Yeah no rust and corrosion just what are likely rare events made it non adjustable getting missed by QC. I put shields over cameras so they do not get hit by rain, snow nor to a great degree even direct sunshine. Machining debris plus mill scale not cleared away before assembly, paint got into...

    HFW2231T-ZS Base does not turn

Knowing that it should turn no longer any question about that, I got after it. Took quite a bit of forced but once it moved I was able to separate it and clean it up. Was heavy with machining/mill scale then painted and dried locking it in place, adjustable now like I believed it had to be.

    HFW2231T-ZS Base does not turn

Ok I'll try putting more effort into it but it has never rotated from when new and directly out of the box. Thread where I asked about it after first putting it up. https://ipcamtalk.com/threads/bullet-camera-question.59776/#post-609508 No nut behind it. It was fine the way it was, intended...

    HFW2231T-ZS Base does not turn

As in the title the mounting base plate does not spin allowing for adjustment of the camera position. Shouldn't it be free to turn with the set screw loosened or in my case fully removed? In its original location from new the ability to rotate the base plate didn't really effect anything...

    IR light question

I'd have to get the model number off one but I'm sure they do not have motorized IR cut filters in them. I do have one does, it was a replacement and it is larger then the other 7. These cameras are not very big at all, small soup can or less. How they'd adjust for IR light on or off I have no...

    IR light question

I bought an IR light and the q see cameras do "see" the light from it. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0771GQMPT?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details One of the cameras that does have the filter I installed on it detects the light the same as one that I did not add the filter. Could see the...

Advice choosing a used Dahua IP camera

    IR light question

The cameras do not have motorized IR cut filters and yes they do have IR lights. You can see two rings of them surrounding the lens, they turn on when the sun goes down and back off following sunrise. I don't recall why I choose those filters, might have been the nm value might have been...

    IR light question

This is what I put on them when I figured out they didn't have filters stock and it might help improve imaging, they did. Two Dahua's pretty much flood the area that four of the Q see's point to but they do not see the light from the Dahua's at all, not even a little bit. 1 of those 4 does...

    IR light question

Yeah I could just not a real simple task. Was hoping there was something simple I was missing that would explain it. I thought sure they'd see the area lit up by the new cameras. Guess I have to pull one down and walk around with it in the dark to verify they do see the light produced by another...

    IR light question

I bought the dvr before I knew jack about cameras/IR filters etc, it was dirt cheap heck dang near free new in the box and reason I bought it. Shortly after installing it I read more about em and then added IR filters to them, with the filters in place better color during the day and they'd...

    IR light question

Q see cameras can, or at least could, see the light cast out by each other when new (tend to believe that is still true). And naturally Dahua cameras can see the light cast out by each other. Both based on what I read have 850nm lights, can see the glow looking at em. So I'm at a loss as why...

    IPC-HDW5442TM-AS huge internet traffic

Varies by model/firmware one of mine only goes back a day but includes the most information. The other three a month or more, T5442T log result for "account" goes back to 11-25 with 3 pages so I'd think yours would be similar? Culprit deleting the log on exit? I cleared the logs on one, no...

    IPC-HDW5442TM-AS huge internet traffic

On 18th of DEC internet trafic was about 3Gb. The camera log is empty for this period of time. Your start and end times match. Ya gotta give it a range to search to get a result. Scratch that after a re-look see that isn't right. Odd nothing at all happen, seems logs for mine always have...

Couple of questions if I may,

Analyze motion doesn't work unless motion sensor is enabled in BI for a given camera during playback! Something I didn't consider, needs to be enabled even if not when a vid was recorded. And I apologize I was calling it MD instead of MS for BI. I use the MD that is built into the camera. No...

Couple of questions if I may,

I am using the cameras time overlay not the overlay provided in BI, I did try BI's overlay but didn't get timestamps on recorded video so I went back to the cameras overlay. And yes recorded video includes the time overlay that way. I am using the MD built into the camera not MD provided in BI...

<strike>Pendant</strike> Mount new Color-4K-X on an arm clamped to a pole?

Me? if so no just suggesting another way to do it and yes I'd use a junction box as up on the pole there would be no protection for the connection without one. Unless the post is box steel and just so happens the top is caped off and sealed and able to fish the cables right up inside the post...

Yea I will if it happens again, working so far so just gonna count it as a fluke and or a possible result of the update I just let rip and move on! I tend to cold boot once a week or when I make a change I want to make sure takes. I reboot every couple days or so, I restart it then the software...

<strike>Pendant</strike> Mount new Color-4K-X on an arm clamped to a pole?

If the beam is that wide and flat why not drill and tap for SS screws right into the steel itself. Rather than rely on some clamp or a flimsy hanger added in and that would work well with a junction box too. Nut and bolt would eliminate the need to tap for threads but if box steel that wouldn't...

Couple of questions if I may,

I was attempting to run with BI's MD that is where the time overlay is problematic. Looking for more fine tuning over what the camera offers. Problem with that camera is it's lens plus distance to the action, need MD set fairly low to trigger. Deer in this case blend in very well with the...

    No Audio...

I was questioning if an update I did yesterday? the day before? effected that change. My computer is never shut off, reboot now and then but haven't done that in a few days. Think of nothing I did that'd change what device is hit by a "new" default for sound. And have yet to restart and pick...

    No Audio...

Yes it does thing is I don't know what changed the output to headphones. I know for sure I didn't do that. I don't own headphone haven't for years, I don't even know if the jack in the front/rear panel of my computer works. It should but heck I don't know for sure one way or the other!

    No Audio...

Ok found the problem, something is changing "Output" under "Audio" in BI settings to "headphones". I know I had it set to speakers and also tried Default and vise versa neither one helped. This time a reinstall and Speakers or Default works, see how long it lasts. I don't actively listen to...

Couple of questions if I may,

Yes that helps reinforces what I believed to be the way it worked, at times I'd see some inconsistencies that make me question it though! I do use the Status window for DS and its log ect for evaluating what it recognized and when, problem is when nothing happens for one of them and you know a...
